Doesn't Barris offee have a green saber? Surely she's not a more powerful Jedi than Anakin and Obi?

what I meant was that he hasn't tapped into his full power yet.

didnt Anakin use Dooku's own blade to cut off his hands? A bit late, I know, but no... Anakin traps Dooku's hands under his arm, then uses his saber to sever his hands. He does however use Dooku's saber (as well as his own) when he decapitated him...

Doesn't Barris offee have a green saber? Surely she's not a more powerful Jedi than Anakin and Obi? Last I knew Barris Offee's saber has a blue blade - she achieved the rank of Jedi Knight in between EpII-III. I would doubt canon would permit her to be more powerful than Anakin since he's the Chosen One and all...

this is just some facts, if you base the Crystal chose with the Electromagnetic Spectrum it might mean that the saber crystal and obviously the blade color are based on the power of the Jedi, like the crystals are found clear or white(mix of all colors) and the power of the Jedi determines the color, i.e the Electromagnetic Spectrum where violet is the strongest color and Windu has it. But there must be some exceptions, like the chose of the Jedi, like the Yoda, who is more powerful than Windu has a green saber. so the power of the crystal is determined by the power of the Jedi who wields it, but the stronger the Jedi the more he can control the color of the crystal. I know any people will disagree with is and it is confusing but it might give you something to think about. if this were true then "borrowed" sabers would be a different color for those who used them AND what about when Han Solo used Luke's (Anikan's) saber in ESB? it remained blue for him. I think the crystals determine the color and either the Jedi chooses ones to allow him to have the color he wants...or there is a Force Resonance factor in the crystals each Jedi chooses that determines the color of the blade.

The color of the blade is determined by the type of crystal used. There is no interaction between the Jedi's Force Use and the color of the blade. If there was, then Anakin's saber would have gone from blue to red in ROTS when he went over to the dark side. I think Seda summed up the crystal/color issue when he said that it is most likely a case of the Jedi uses whatever color crystal they find when they construct their saber, so it is as much chance as personal choice.
