Hi, gang.
Does anyone have experience machining a hilt? If so, how long would you say it takes to get the hang of working the lathe? Is it something that's worth buying second-hand?
Thanks! Coz

Pretty relative question there.
Do you have experience with working around power tools?
This and more questions would need to be known before I could say one way or the other.
For me personally, I can run a mill/lathe/press whatever. Wire up anything you want. But don't ask me to try and take a pattern and sew a costume, I am really good at sewing the material to the machine though. ;D

You know the saying among experienced sewers/costumers: "it's not done until it has blood on it"
