That's a really clever idea. I never thought of creating a battle damaged saber. Looks really cool!

We'll need a rackmount display if you keep on making that many amazing sabers Mouhahaha. that reminds me, I need to contact Cathy about having a fan table. That's a nice saber Jedi Fann. You have to bring it with you when you come see my new appartment.

nice prop. If THAT blaster shot were a real out, youtch!! TOo hot, too close too close for MY peace of mind. It'd probably burn more than a saber on me. Sheesh, like my clothing. Outch.
I've been mulling over an idea for a project similar only not battle damaged. Just to show what a sbaer's guts were like.
I'd have the wiring, crystles inside a tubeand goodies, that can slid out of the main hilt tube fordisplay and to simulate what 'd create if I needed to do aintance on mine.

well that was also an idea. But after a test to make an inspired Star trek saber hilt. The chrome tube was very damage. So on a nice monday evening I said, while looking the tube in my recycling box, why not a battle damage open gut lightsaber. For the LED light I used a modified LED xmas light and for the crystal, a piece of green plastic thing from my daughters toy box. Bleu light + green crystal give a nice thing. A few other gizmos to hold every thing inside + a few cut and bruned wires and VOILA. Oh, and a 2 genuine canadian beers and some 70s old psycadelic rock in my garage.
