im looking to make another sabre, but this time i want it to be curved, just because i like the makashi style and i like the look of curved hilts. im told that vacume wands and various odds and ends will make a nice one, but you see im trying something different. i want the hilt to have a continuous curve, not just a curve that bends in one or two places, i want it to be a gradual continuous curve throughout the handle. anyone have any ideas on this one.

You might try the "U" shaped pipe that's under your kitchen sink. Other things that come to mind are a handle bar from a bicycle or a piece of muffler pipe. Take the muffler pipe to your local muffler shop and have them bend it to the shape you want. Try going to a kitchen and bath plumbing supply store. They should have many pipes/tubes of different shapes and sizes. Let us know what you decide and where you were able to find the materials.

Get a piece of straight exhaust pipe and take it to a muffler shop and have them bend it the way you would like

I can take a wild guess at it. I'd seen the guys on Dicovery channel's "Orange Country Chopper" series. They place a pipe in a pipe bender device that holds it still in a clamp while the guy tugs and pulls, carefully bending the ends to the angle he wants. I don't remember if he heats up the spot he wants to bend with the plasma tourch or merely brute forces it. There might be other machines that can do that more easily.
Maybe that's done the same way for the saber handle. Or the maker can cheat and buy it already bent.;-) hehehehe.

Yeah, solid state aluminum is hard to bend...seeing as the walls are meant to be strong, and they lathe their hilts.

(bow)
don't go to a muffler shop the bend will not be the curve u want ...well it may be the angle u want but it will have the bend plate indent in the pipe and its not that good of a look...well u just might like it so idk crawl under ur car and have a look or go to a muffler shop and ask if u can watch them bend sum pipe ...thay may look at u funnie lol but u will see what I'm talking about
i used to work in a muffler shop and i don't like the look the bender makes

They're working on finding ways to do curved sabers on Randomsaber now...he did a "perfect" job on Apostle...which looks a bit like mine.
