I dont quite understand what you mean.. most expensive to build? To buy? Most expensive one that we own, most we have spent on a saber???

I would think the most expensive sabers would be the actual props used in the movies by the actors.
It all depends on demand. The collectors determine the value.

EL sabers that have detachable blades such as Parks, Lightech, and Larbel (sp?) can go for anywhere from $300 to $400 on ebay. Especially Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan Ep I & II reproductions.
Really it depends on how much someone is willing to spend (when it's on ebay). All that is needed is two people who both want the saber- bidding war starts, and the price goes through the roof.
Icons saber hilts used to fetch a lot of cash- but people don't seem to want them anymore now that MR is making saber hilt replicas.

some of the sabers that fetch the most money: - Luke ROTJ Hero - most of the ones out there are the MR's and they, on average, go for $300 or more. I have seen them go as high as $1200
- Qui Gon hero - no "official" saber has been made yet. The aftermarket prices on the older ones tend to range from $250 on up.
- Darth Maul - while the MR one has held steady at around $300, the HK sabers can go as high as $600. If the HK has EL electronics, it can fetch $800 or better
- Obi ANH Weathered Hero - the price on these has gone back up with the release of ROTS, while they were selling in the $250 range, I have seen them go for over $500 lately
- Obi ANH Clean - again, because of ROTS and the limited number out there, these go for $250 on up
On the flip side of the coin, the price of a real Graflex flash gun has come down in the past few years. A nice original use to cost over $300, now you can pick them up for $150 or less if you look around. This is a direct effect from the Parks replica. Personally, I have a real Graflex ESB that is the prize piece in my collection. I would personally not feel right destroying a real Graflex like that - thats what the replicas are for. Dave

Mine - I waited patiently and got it for $250 ish I think. Very nice, accurate piece Now that auction is for the Elite edition which fetches more than the LE version is curently. Back before the elite came out, the Luke's were hovering around $500 give or take Dave
