Thanks for the reply!
Does it come with everything pictured? What did you have to do to yours? Could you please post pics of yours? ;D Id appreciate it as I only have one shot at this saber. $$
Did you just modify them to be each resemble Lukes..ETC.? Or do they offer more than just one?

Is it possible to fit a blade in that Graflex? I've been looking for a duelling specific saber, and have been thinking of going the way of a Luke ANH copy...

I have a real graflex, and am looking into putting a .75" blade in it. of course, there is a need for a blade socket.... the socket that comes with it is for a light bulb. I was looking for a Graflex LED Anodized (Black) Aluminum Socket et the graflex shop but at 49$ I prefer trying my luck on carving the plastic bulb socket into blade-sized form... but all I want to mention is that there is room for it, and the metallic loop will accomodate a .75" blade.

Ok - the last picture you see is what you get, the holes in the picture are for the ESB version, so you can get it without the holes for the ANH version. As far as modification - the ANH saber only requires you to drill 1 hole in the base to accomidate the d-ring. The grips just stick on. That is really it. The ESB only needs 2 holes for the d-ring, the holes for the grip screws are there so you don't have to worry about drilling out those holes. The bubbles get changed for a board for ESB as well. So, aside from getting the conversion pieces from Blast-Tech (John is the man), the conversion is easy. Pics I will take later for you of my Anakin Graflex and my ESB saber. I am planning on contacting John to make sure he can fill the orders, plus have them shipped to me so you get everything together Is it possible to fit a blade in that Graflex? I've been looking for a duelling specific saber, and have been thinking of going the way of a Luke ANH copy... Yes it is. You need to go the route of gutting the tube and getting a new bulb socket. I found the Graflex Shop one to work quite well, and I used it for my Luke ESB Stunt saber seen here: www.saberbelt.com/LukeESBStuntSaber.htmlDespite what you think that is, it is not EL or LED or photoshop'd - that is reflective tape on a metal blade and the glow is from the flash and sunlight. I also did a ESB saber to hold a blade for my dueling purposes, I just have to get the blades in for it and go from there. The tubes themselves are hollow to accomodate d-cell batteries for use as a flash, so there is plenty of room for "guts". I am sending the email tonight to Graflex Shop to see if he can fill the orders that we need. I would have them shipped to me and then you would get it with your saber *phew* I think I got it all Dave

yes you can, but my goal of the bulk order is to get you everything you need. I trust Blast-Tech for accuracy, plain and simple. If you want to get them elsewhere, thats fine by me. You can get D-rings at any hardware store, or Wal-Mart for that Matter.

I actually send the emails this morning for all the parts. While Parks conversion kits are nice, they are not 100% accurate. I can't speak on the price of those yet because I am waiting to hear back.
I do however have prices from Blast-Tech. The ANH kit, with everything you need is $31.75. The ESB, with everything you need, is $35. The little parts alone can be seen on the website for Blast-Tech. I will highly advise the Blast-Tech for those that want accurate.
I will say this - if you are going for an Anakin style Graflex, the Parks grips are closer to accurate in shape than any of the Blast-Tech ones
I will update the thread in the for sale section as I hear back from the venders. I am looking to do the graflex replicas in the next week or so

Thanks! So roughly it would be $ 31-$ 35-ish plus the 125.00 for the graflex from Parks?

Partially correct - the Graflex's will be a bulk order - so the Graflex will be $75 with your choice of ANH or ESB (Holes already drilled and tapped) Dave Thanks! So roughly it would be $ 31-$ 35-ish plus the 125.00 for the graflex from Parks?
