right im a bit confused as in how to attach the blade to the hilt anyone like to fill me in because im in the process of making my first saber but want to know how the blade is attached before i get too far on with the hilt

I prefer just a thumbscrew. You can do it in two ways, often the first, but if the first doesn't work right you go to the second. First, find a thumbscrew you like, you will need two (look in the lamp fixtures area of the hardware store) and then match the size with a drill bit just smaller than the shaft of the screw. Drill through the hilt into the center, then take one of the screws and use the drill (on lowest setting) to screw it into the hole; this will most likely strip the threads on the screw, but make the perfect socket for the second. Then just screw the thumbscrew tight down on the blade. If for some reason it doesn't fit tight, then go to 2. Which is to insert the blade, and drill slightly into it (about 1/4 of an inch), and then fit the thumbscrew into the socket so that the screw hold all three pieces together.

cool nice one will try that i was thinking about fitting son uv blue lights in the hilt to make the rod glow lol just an idea
