I'm the new guy, found this board trying to find a EL Quiggy. I dont possess metal working tools, nor the abilty to use metal working tools, so I am on a search for someone or someplace that will make me a Qui Gonn saber hilt and a EL blade to go with it. Anyone know of anyone able to?

Sorry, I can't help you about Qui-gon's lightsaber. Have you been to the Big Yellow Box website? bigyellowbox.tripod.com/Or, what I like to call, the lightsabers-from-things-you-can-get-at-Home-Depot website. The don't have Qui-gon Jinn's lightsaber, but it's a good place for ideas and uses a minimum of power tools. I've seen EL blades at: www.lightechindustries.com/main.htmlSabers and blades -- NOT cheap -- but looks like quality stuff. Again, they don't have Qui-gon's lightsaber. A place to find a nice photo reference for just about anybody's lightsaber is: www.thelightsaber.com/index.htm

Here is another site that shows how to make great sabres from PVC
www.dougie-doright.com/tutorial.html
You can use simple hand tools and they are fairly inexpensive.

Funny you should mention Qui-Gon's lightsaber....it is my favorite.... and I have also searched for one with an EL blade....cause if I was going to cough up the money for a EL Lightsaber...it would only be to buy one I love.... to my knowledge...there are none made....and no plans by MR or anyone else to make them...

Qui-gon's lightsaber is nice, but I've never really been interested replicas. Besides, I'd much rather have Qui-gon. And thanks much, Master Mon-Jas, for the link to Dougie Dooright's PVC lightsaber page! I made a pilgrimage to the hardware store today and picked up a few extra things.
