Yeah those are the ones!! I don't mind paying much. I think Ive invested 400.00 in my costume anyway. And eventually I'll get a better tunic.

At age 20....hopefully your feet are done growing...it would be terrible to pay that kind of money...and then have them not fit a year from now...
A good pair of boots that fit right are really a blessing...make sure you take good measurements ...to make sure they will fit....include the calf....
properly maintained and stored ...and these boots will be with you over the long haul...

I heard we had to take our own measurments. How do I know if its a good measurment or not? And how long does it normaly take to have custom fit made? Yes my feet are done growing. And hopefully mail will be getting back up and running soon back home. I want to have a new pair of boots for the COSI weekend next year.

I purchased my boots on E-bay....and...I took some measurements and asked the seller of the boots I bought to check the measurements I took of my feet/calf and compare them...I ended up with a perfect fitting pair of boots...
Measurements that I took...and bear in mind...most normal people have one leg/foot larger than the other...my one calf is almost an inch different from the other....so..measure both feet/calves...and use the larger....I also used a pair of shoes I already had that fit good and used them for reference as well...
Measure: Ball of foot at widest point Length of foot from heel to toe Circumference of calf at widest point Circumference of calf at the boot top...ask the bootmaker how tall the boots are...that can help in determining how far up the leg to go to check the circumference at the top of the boot...remember to allow for your pants thickness....maybe a good idea to measure with your Jedi pants on....
hope that helps...

I've seen the Motor Cowboy boots on e-bay. They look like a quality product, but I just can't bring myself to pay that much for boots, though their prices are OK for custon-made. I have a couple of pairs that look fine with my costume; they fit and don't cause bllisters, but I wish the toe space was wider. So, I'll keep haunting e-bay for a used pair with square toes and that I can experiment with, adding straps and such. I've found that searching for "brown riding boots" AND "brown knee boots" with 7 and 8 (shoe sizes) catches the likely candidates.
There are so many high heeled-boots out there that I fear for the future foot health of women.

Also, when you are measuring, it might be helpful to go to the shoestore and use one of those foot measuring tools... the one you have to step in and the salesman slides the metal things against your foot.
And I believe motorcowboy asks for the measurements of each foot individually.
I would like to get a pair of these boots at some point.

I heard that the Motorcowboy ep III boots arent as accurate as just buying the ep II ones and taking the top keepers off... does anyone know if this is true and if it can be done?

That...I don't know... but once again..... complete accuracy depends on what costume one is making.. If it is a totally acurate Obi-Wan...then maybe not... but... for your own Old Republic Jedi Character.....they look like they would work nicely...

AS long as they look like the real Jedi boots I am going to be happy. Besides when wearing the costume and being around younglings they're not going to notice small diffrences (hopefully). Besides each Jedi is unique anyway in a diffrent way.

While the boots with the straps look nice, I am so very glad that Obi-Wan was wearing plain, brown boots in ROTS. And Ki Adi Mundi wore suede boots. That opens up a lot more variety for Jedi boots.

I agree - I love my boots I got at Renn Faire and they are so comfy I can wear them all day with no discomfort... They're not like Obiwan's or Anakin's but I look like Radar from MASH so it's no biggie....

If you're thinking of ordering a pair of boots, here's a measurement guide you might find useful. I drew this up when I had my boots made:
And here's the instruction:
A is the total height you want your boots to be, excluding the heel (please specify separately how high you want your heel to be, be it 1 inch, 1.5 inch or 2 inch)
B is the length of your feet
C is the circumference of the widest part of your foot
D is the circumference around your ankle
E is the circumference around your leg 4" from the bottom of your feet
F to K are the circumference around your leg, at 2 " intervals upwards from E (The best way to do this is to mark all the points to measure on your leg with a pencil or non-permanent marker)
Notice that K is actually 16 inches from the bottom of your feet, so if you want your boots to be only 15inches tall you just put A as 15 Inches and measure the circumference one inch up from point J, and adjust the distance between point J and point K accordingly. If you want it more then 16 inches high then just add a point L, or M and so on, and adjust the total height of A accordingly.
Like Schph Gochi said, its best to leave some leeway to accommodate your pants.
I hope this is not too confusing. I believe that if you're gonna pay good money for a pair of cuatom boots then it should fit you like a glove, especially if you can't send it back for alteration...
