here, this is from the Jedi code from the main site(thejediassembly.com),
Article V. Costuming and Membership Requirements
4. All Jedi must have a Lightsaber, utility belt, and boots. Robes and capes are optional. Robes and capes that are the color black will not be accepted, unless one is recreating the above mentioned "dark Jedi" costumes. Boots must be of the knee length variety and cannot be a commercial “work” style boot.
hope this helps

I'm thinking they should be tall enough, by knee length I think we mean above midcalf, they should do it unless you are very tall. I started w/ boots that were just above theankle and had a piece added for more height, now they are knee high. If they fit and are comfortable, you can always work it out. BTW I think they're pretty cool looking, are they brown, and where'd you order them from?

another good place to try is lane Bryants or roaman's catalogue or website, they do carry wide calf boots that are low heels and brown and not way to expensive.

I think they look excellent for Jedi boots.
Not the same old boring plain riding boots I've seen people often wear. I like the way the straps go around the front of the ankle.

Mine have an unavoidable zipper on the outside of the leg, but it's not all that easy to see, someday, I think I want to get a flap over that part as well, but, it will have to wait until I have money again..........someday!

I think they'll make great Jedi boots... they look high enough. As long as they aren't ankle boots, which I can see the are not.
They look like they have a bit of a slouch to them... I bought slouch boots and then cut the inner lining to pull them up to knee height.
Even boots that are meant to be knee high only come mid-calf for me, so buying form fitting boots tends to be a problem

Very cool boots! Target stores have a similar-looking boot with the straps and they are on sale for $28 this week. I can't wear store-bought boots without modification. I have HUGE calves so a standard 14-inch calf width is not enough.

I think the boots looks very nice and should do well....I've seen ones very like them in Payless Shoes in the last 3 weeks in the NYC area.

They look great and they will certainly give a unique look, which is a good thing.
