No Schph, NOT Obi Wan, Qui Gonn, was very much in love with Master Tahl (who was blind, this happened on a mission, they had gone to rescue her) in any case Qui Gonn and she finally realised that they were in love and planned to marry, but a treacherous enemy killed her and Qui Gonn almost lost it completely, it was his closeness to Obi Wan and some other good friends that finally pulled him back, that and almost doing the revenge thing, but he didn't.....

There was never anything said about the two of them getting married. All they did was pledge their life to one another. NO WHERE did I see anything about them deciding to marry. All they did was acknowledge that they loved each other. nothing more. Unless i'm reading a different series then you.

Well, they didn't get married officially, but it was clear that it would have just been a formality if they had. I was thinking of this when I read the book-- maybe that was what he did to defy the council-- try to act on his premonitions, help, and rescue Tahl.
Oh yeah, and Obi-Wan's love interest was Cerasi on Melida/Dan.

EIAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Ok...you guys gotta help me.... Jedi Apprentice series....books 1-9 (?)...does this series involve Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan? Then we get into Obi-Wan and Anakin...which starts (?) with Rogue Planet....and I know "Approaching Storm"..what are the others in that series?...(grumble, grumble)...like I said in another thread...I seem to have gotten lost in the New Jedi Order and have seriously neglected the stuff before "A New Hope". I know there is a list of the New Jedi Order novels on Starwars.com....and I have compiled a pretty good list of books after A New Hope...I need to fill in the chronological book time line prior.

The Jedi Apprentice series is Qui Gonn/Obi Wan as master & padawan there are a couple of tie ins where it's Qui Gonn/Obi Wan in the 1st 1/2 and several years pass and the second 1/2 is Obi Wan/Anakin, The Jedi Quest series is Obi Wan/Anakin as master & padawan. They are mostly aimed at young readers from say 10-15, but they are well written, and very enjoyable none the less, I started reading them because I have a policy of never giving a kid a book I haven't read first, it avoids nasty surprises, not that I expected any from these, but you know they'll ask you a question and you better know the answer. The next Jedi Quest (#3) is out this month some time, they come out about every 2 or 3 months, I could go broke on these because I end up getting at least 2 of each, 1 for the nephews and 1 for me. Of course there are also Rogue Planet, Shadow Hunter, and oh yeah I almost forgot Cloak of Deception, and Approaching Storm. As to marriage between Qui Gonn & Tahl well it might not have been the word, but the implication was there and they didn't really get time to discuss it, but it might be tolerated in the Jedi Temple Quarters, as opposed to living together(in sin as it were) but there are many marriage customs, in some places a pledge is the same thing, in some places the bride has to be pregnant before the wedding. I didn't forget Cerasi, but thought of that as more of an adolescent "puppy love" sort of thing that would in time have turned into a really deep frienship or a pleasant memory, but perhaps it's why Obi Wan is able to comfort Anakin with "and she WAS pleased to see US" instead of telling him to never see her again or something.

I will difintely be searching the want ads for a part time job.... Wanted....spending idiot to make big bucks in spare time ...no experience necessary....that's what I will be looking for....let's see, if I give up food (that wouldn't hurt me...I could stand to lose about 20 pounds)..going to the show every Sunday to see AOTC, and other such stuff maybe I won't lose my house!!!

It's just as exspencive as going to a book store and you shouldn't have trouble finding the ones you need. the new quest book comes out tomarrow acctually lol. i'll have to stop at the book store near work. They know me well.

Yay! For US GOOFY and HAPPY ONES!!!! We definitly have a life! Yeah I thought that Quest 3 might be out tomorrow, so off to the bookstore w/ me after work as well!! Yes, the Apprentice & Quest books are pretty quick reads, mostly I wish they were a bit longer, I think the first 3 Apprentice novels were longer and then they got down to a certain length, but they are almost a continuing story and the wait in-between isn't to long.
