I just noticed that some threads have "new" next to them. Is that an automatic feature of the message board?
In the FanFiction section, the thread, "TJA in the clone wars", and the story I posted, "HUNTERS.....Qui-Gon--Obi-Wan" have "new" next to them. None of the other posts have that, even though the story I posted, "VISIONS.....Qui-Gon--Obi-Wan", was posted after HUNTERS. So, technically, it's "newer" but doesn't have the label.

"new" means that there have been new posts to that thread since the last time you signed on.
But if you were the last one to post in it, it won't have the "new" label showing for you. Just others who sign on.
Did that explain better?

Aah, now I get it. It is an automatic feature. The "VISIONS" one didn't get a "new" because I was the last to post to it. The "new" went away from "TJA in the clone wars" because I looked at it when I was logged in. The "HUNTERS" had a "new" because someone posted to that one; I'd read the comment, BUT I wasn't logged in at the time, so it didn't count and the "new" stayed.
OK, simple.
