It seems there are quite a few questions about posting images here on the message board. Basically (for those who may not know) you need to host the image on a server somewhere on the web. Then to display the pic here, you need to copy the url for that image into your post between two image tags like this: url goes here [/ i m g] (without the spaces between characters) Without the image tags, your url will be displayed as a working link. My images here are hosted on my geocities free web page. It works well for me as I have only run out out of bandwidth once or twice. It is not good if your image will be exposed to high traffic, though. I also have an account with www.picturetrail.comNot bad except you can't hotlink to a single image, you can only post a link to you photo album. There are many free image hosting services available; here's a few: www.imageshack.us/www.photobucket.com/www.villagephotos.com/If anyone has any more, please post the link here!

Trying.... yes that works. But not on all of the photo albums. For the family albums I chose a security feature that disables right-clicking. This pics is from Dragon Con 2 years ago.

There is always a way master Gochi! Remember that the URL always has to end in .JPG to be postable

Argh, no luck. I think the photo site won't let me share the pics.

Aaaaaah, here's the problem, Schph...... [ i m g ] pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ize_burgh/detail?.dir=3528&.dnm=91d8.jpg&.src=ph [ / i m g ] You have the correct image start and stop code [ i m g] and [ / i m g ] But you have an extra " &.src=ph " clinging to the end of the actual image address. That's what's messing it up. Take that bit out and you get: .....which isn't right either. BUT, if you go to the address itself (which looks like it's a whole Yahoo page, which explains why it won't come up as an image) at: pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ize_burgh/detail?.dir=3528&.dnm=91d8.jpgand right click on the picture of you and Darth Vader (nice pic, BTW) there and then click on "Copy Image Location" you can then paste that into a message like this: us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/40f336ee_1f48/3528/__sr_/91d8.jpg?phDWHODBxo8FXuQC....and that's not the image location either because it looks like Yahoo has stuck on some junk at the end. BUT you can snip that part off the end to get the actual image location: us.f2.yahoofs.com/users/40f336ee_1f48/3528/__sr_/91d8.jpgJust take start deletiing stuff off the end until you get to the last "jpg" in the address. And put THAT into the [ i m g] -- [ / i m g ] code, and you finally get. .....which doesn't get you any joy either because going there gives you a "Forbidden, you don't have permission" message from Yahoo. Yahoo does not allow links to where they've parked that image, which is the source of the problem. So, it's best to just post the address of the Yahoo page where the image is diplayed. See? Simple. I can never get it to work...but I will try again... see....it isn't working for me.... there is supposed to be a photo in this post somewhere.... the information shows when I go into "modify post".. let's try another..... nope... nothing..

I have picture trail? Do you right click on the pix to copy it? I tried--it didn't work. Is this a copy/paste? I tried this with tinypic.com still can't get it. I'm confused.

Right click on the pic, and go to "Properties". Look for a URL there that ends in .JPG and you will be able to use that. It will be next to a Heading of "Address" or "Location", something like that.

When I right click on an image I get a menu. One of the options is "Copy Image Location". When I click on that it saves the image URL and I can then go and "paste" the image URL where I want. HOWEVER, I am using Windows XP. That may be the problem; earlier versions of Windows or Macs may not give you that option.
