Has anyone ever bought a robe from Pan-in-the-Box/Costume Bay on Ebay. I was thinking of buying one of the black ones.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

You can ignore the question. I wound up ordering from trinikwan who has a good reputation on these boards.

Pan-in-the-box (aka: Smokesthingy) is based in Singapore and is a SW fan. I have bought food capsules from him and they are first rate. Others have bought from him and say the merchandise is great.

I bought boots and food caps from him, and they're great. In the pics I've seen of his robes, the material looks wrinkled and a little thin. It may just be a bad pic though.

I have their robes for Anakin. But I'm planning to get rid of it. It's nothing like the real one.

And noone elses is like the real one cause the real one was worn by hayden. Costumer fans have made some that are quite close to the film prop.

Yes but the majority of the people that cant sew or afford 150$ for something thats basicly the same thing.
I think there products are decenty good looking and a price that cant be beat.

I think Matt's comment was more about the fact that they lack details like the correct material, drap, flow, etc. I don't know a ton about the details on Simon's robes but do they have the little things like shoulder tucks?
