PM Primrodo, he's the Anakin info person. Even if he hasn't made it, he'll know where to find the best info & photo references.

I don't know if any of Eva Vaneck's robes are inaccurate, but check it out on ebay. Her user name is evc111111.

I don't know if any of Eva Vaneck's robes are inaccurate, but check it out on ebay. Her user name is evc111111. Eva's auction for the EP2 robe uses the picture I took from the MR party at SDCC 2006. I own one of her robes, and it's got most of the features you want but can use some upgrades on the finer details.

I got mine from a FANTASTIC source called "Mystik Merchant"...... They custom-make excellent screen-accurate robes and cloaks,...that's their specialty, and their jedi robes are the BEST around as far as I'm concerned. The robes are made to precise measurements for perfect length and fit, the turnaround time and delivery are very prompt, and the customer service is excellent. Mystik is now my cloak and robe seamstress of choice, hands down. I don't know if she still offers the specific Anakin cloaks for the general public per se, because that cloak is very costly for her to make, but you can ask her. The one she specially-made for me is absolutely worth every penny and is exquisite. She does offer the Luke Skywalker cloak too, which is very similar in style to the Anakin, and there are also many many other styles available too. Here's the link to Mystik Merchant website: mystikmerchant.com/Here's a pic of me in the cloak she made for me. (I'm not in costume here, except perhaps as "Lianakin the Happy Harley-Rider"....I was on my way out the door to go motorcycle riding the afternoon that the Fed Ex package with the cloak arrived, and it made my day. Hence the huge smile and two-thumbs-up. Hey, and Anakin-boots happen to work great for riding bikes, by the way... )

Well, in ROTS he wore the cloak without sleeves in a couple of scenes....and then he also wore a hooded robe for some scenes, such as the "becoming a Sith" scene and the Jedi temple attack. But his Epi 2 cloak is definitely just the front tabbards and open side panels, no sleeves. My Epi 2 cloak has a special cloak-to-robe conversion-feature which may or may not fly with the most stringent 501st screen-accuracy standards, but it works quite well for my costume and filming needs, as well as for my budget....... ..........Mystik made me some matching sleeves that I attach discreetly with velcro inside the cloak at the open side panels, and I have sewed a few tiny almost-invisible hook-and-eye closures along the inside of each tabbard's side seam so that the tabbard can be joined with the rest of the cloak at the sides under the arm of the sleeve. That way with just a few quick steps, the cloak can instantly become a sleeved robe. That option allows for quick-change cloak-to-robe options at events, without having to cart around a cloak and a robe too. And when the sleeves are in, whether it is on film or live in person at events, you can't tell it's not a robe.

Smart idea.
I've seen Mystic Merchant's robes and love 'em. I haven't bought one yet.

I was working initially w/ Mystic, but they could not provide me w/ the wool material I was asking for. They only carried a cotton weave that didn't quite have the weight and thickness I was looking for. In addition, the brown that they suggested wasn't dark enough. However, they were very nice and were willing to make an EP 2 robe for me ad-hoc. Notwithstanding that, I went back to my costume maker and worked out all the fine details of the cloak. It is, in fact, a cloak, not a robe. Hayden refers to it as a cloak in some behind the scenes interviews on the EP 2 bonus DVD. The main theme to this cloak is it was meant to drape over Hayden's tall, thin body to create the Vader allusion. There are tabbards in place of sleeves. The reason people tend to think that Anakin had sleeves in his robe in EP 2 was because 1) they are used to the idea that outer Jedi robes have sleeves; 2) his tunic sleeves often poke through from behind the tabbards and makes it look like he's got sleeves. Some of the key points to this cloak are: 1. Tabbards are separate pieces from the cloak and are shorter than the rest of the cloak. 2. The cloak part is a large flare cut. 3. The hood has a pleated rim. 4. The hood as an middle seam inside the hood but not on the outside. Here's how my new EP 2 cloak came out:
