No, Luminara's robes are more of a dark brown or in some lighting a very deep purple. Remember the set lights will ALWAYS make dark brown appear black. Barris' is a dark eggplant(purple) sometiems it even appears to be navy or dark brown.

A was going to join once I got my costume done. Which isn't anytime soon, so nevermind............ A black robed figure, eh? I'll have to check that out. I do deal with that group abit. Someone was supposed to start it..but has been stuck in neutral ever sense. (Software Issues)We do chat, on the costuming board for TheForce.NET boards.theforce.net/costuming_and_props/b10019/18250000/p16/?787You will see many posts and discussions about costuming there. The Sith Syndicate just set up a new forum. Nothing much yet, but give it time. They will be moving some stuff over to it, while work on the Syndicate site is being done. darksider1.proboards51.com/index.cgi

Well, if you can sew, why not try D Maul's Tatooine robe, it's really very beauyiful, espeially when in motion.

Might have to get into that...as my inquisitor costume was done better than my jedi one.

i'm actually planning on making a maul-ish costume for my dark alliance entry. i plan on using the combat outfit he wore on tatooine as a base, but adding jedi sleeves to the under tunic along with a nehru neck line, and making the outer tunic vested, while keeping all of the flaps and the stole. i'm nixing the swelled under belt and using a fatter jedi obi/sash with a jedi belt instead, and jedi boots to top it all off(dark jedi anyone?)
