I was just wondering about some things I've noticed between different Jedi robes....
Qui-Gon's looks like a straighter cut, not too full and tends to be just a little bit above the floor.
Obi-Wan and Maces' (especially in AOTC) look fuller and drag on the floor more.
So, I'm wondering, do some Jedi robes have a few pleats in the back (and not just in the hood), to give them a little fullness? Pleating a little in back is also a great way to compensate if you've accidentally made the neck hole a little too large.

There are lots of robes in the FIDM exhibit, and I'm hoping to maneuver to be able to see the backs! So I'll let you know. Or maybe someone from SoCal who's already been can tell us. I've see pics of the opening gala but none very detailed of Jedi.

I've seen the pictures online. But it sort of looks like there may not be much chance to look behind them, but it's a little hard to tell from photos. I did notice that they have Jocasta Nu's costume on display. I hope there might be something in the book! Yes, back shots are rare in fashion books, but it's possible. I got an e-mail saying that mine had been shipped by UPS.
I was just thinking that maybe if some parts of the costumes aren't visible on display, maybe some of the FIDM staff who helped set it up might know about what's not showing?
Going to the show would be nice, but I honestly don't want to travel anywhere more complicated than my aunt's place for Thanksgiving until next year. I'm all traveled out.
