The Making of my first set of Robes

First I would like to thank anyone who answers this post. I need help in just about every area, here are some of my general questions. About making my first Jedi Robes.

1. What is the best materal to use?
2. Is there some kind of patteren that I can get from somewhere to make my robe?
3. If there is no patteren that I can buy is there a certain set of messerments that the robe should be build to? ( Cause in all the movies to robes always seem about five sizes to big. )

Greetings Tammcbo, try reading back through the thread, Jedi Robes, a Start. Also, look through the costume threads, there is one about patterns that are easy to modify to Jedi use, I must go now, will be on again in a couple of days with more time.

Will have to check my patterns and get you some numbers....and when Nova posts back...her advice is best...she does costumes for a living!

Where ya from? If you live around the Chicago area "Chicago Force" is having a robe workshop on March 1st....would you be that lucky?
