I have multiple Jedi costumes and they're all canon. But the TJA member pictures only have space for one approved costume and a second picture. Is it necessary to have all costumes approved for formal events? Especially if I did anything like SW Weekends at Disneyland?

Good question! I'd say that any event where cannon costumes are required and NOT in your profile on the main site, should be approved first.
Whoever is in charge of the event would be the person to have final say in case someone shows up with an unacceptable costume.

Typically those large events are run through the local 501st or RL groups. As such, I believe you'd need to have an approved costume through one of those groups in order to attend a large event such as SW Weekends.

For many large and local events, TJA is, and has been, recognized as it's own LFL sanctioned costuming group. Perhaps not Disney Weekends, although I can't be sure, but we were at CIII, CIV, the Cablevision events as well as many others. ;D

I thought the question pertained to TJA sponsored events. But as Xana said, we are recognised in our own right at many functions.

Yes, I suppose for something like SW Weekends, even if you were wearing the costume you have in your profile, it still might need an approval by someone there.
The Jedi costume I was wearing for our picture at DragonCon is not the same one on my member profile; it's newer and a different style, though still completely canon. But there's no way to put it in my profile without replacing one of the pictures there.

Perhaps having space for more than two costumes is something we should look into.

That would be great. I would also still like to get my offical picture changed. Andrew is putting up the new members and I have sent him 4 e-mails with my skinny pic and nothing yet and it has been a year.

The new members' pictures go up automatically when I approve their applications. It's all automated. I have sent Andrew your picture and would send it again, but your pic is home and I am not. E-mail it to him again and hopefully he will get to it.
