I have a question regarding the photos on people's main profiles, and hoped the Council might be able to give me an answer... For my next costume, I am planning on making a full-length tunic like the one Obi-Wan wore in ANH, to represent my character as a Force Ghost. If I were to submit properly lit and full length pictures of the costume for approval, would it be permitted to then use rotoscoped photos on the profile to create the Force Ghost 'look' as long as it was clear that it was the same costume, or would the profile pictures have to be 'true colored?

That's a shame, as I rather liked the idea, but, that has given me a new idea for what to do with the costume

No, not a shame... people want to see your costume as it is. That's why we added the additional picture option... to allow you to then display your costume as you wish... Robed, action pose, Force ghost, etc... the thumbnail is a link to the full size image.

I say shame in that my new costume was to represent my character entirely as a Force Ghost, and I'd hoped to be able to display it as such, however, I shall make minor alterations to my idea, and now the profile pics shall be 'before and after', so to speak The thing I'm most waiting for, is the return of the Gallery section, so people can post pictures of their costumes seperately from their profiles

Is your costume going to be "Force blue" or brown/tan? Not the image you put up, but the costume itself. The image that goes on the site must be the actual costume you intend to wear. NOT some altered depiction of an image/characther you wish to portray.

Right... that's what the "fun pose" would be for, if you wanted to desaturate and fade out a bit.

NOT some altered depiction of an image/characther you wish to portray. The costume is going to be pale cream and brown, much like Obi-Wan's in ANH. Even though I've seen a figure of Anakin with a blue costume, I'm not going to make one in that color [Edited to add] Something crossed my mind with the Round Robin and plans I have for my character, and I was wondering if the saber that appears in the main profile picture must be the same as the one that is shown under the 'saber picture' section as well?

Most people here have more than one non-toy saber. I don't think it matters much as long as the saber in ANY picture on the website is NOT a toy saber. Since we are not an RP group, character stuff has no bearing on the matter. I'd like to remind everyone that this is NOT an RP group. If characters are being devolped in Fan Fic stories, that's great. But please keep it straight that this is a costuming group. Not LARP. We can't be answering questions about characters and their bearings on costume developements. It's irrelevant here. We are a costuming group based on the movies. Not LARP.

I am getting confused - once having a 2nd costume, would the Jedi member have a 2nd profile, or Tanzean is wanting to change his costume on the member page to get his new one instead..?

He wants to change it... or update it. There's only one profile page per member, but as people get new costumes, they like to change the pictures around.
But each new main profile costume picture is subject to the same evaluation as when the person joined. It still has to be full length, well lit, follow the code, etc... The additional picture is where you can get creative with poses and stuff.

We can't be answering questions about characters and their bearings on costume developements. It's irrelevant here. We are a costuming group based on the movies. Not LARP. Sorry, but I thought the idea of having moderators and a Council was to answer questions that people might have... I'm aware that this is a costuming group not an LARP one, but to think that it is one that focusses strictly on the movies is farcical, as many people's costumes feature unique colors that, although 'considered Jedi', did not appear in any of the movies in the saga. Movie Quality accuracy may well be the intended standard, and costumes obviously meet that standard, but many of them are not strictly movie costumes... Unless someone is specifically recreating a character from the movies, then surely it stands to reason that their costume will be representing their own personal Jedi? As such, a person might have ideas for their costume that might take it into areas that the Code is less clear on, thus needing clarification from those who are supposed to be here to answer questions... I am getting confused - once having a 2nd costume, would the Jedi member have a 2nd profile, or Tanzean is wanting to change his costume on the member page to get his new one instead..? As Leda said, I am planning on replacing my current costume with a new one, which would replace the one on my profile. The reason for my questions was because of the more personal nature of the costume I'm planning, and if I would be able to present it in a certain way, not necessarily asking if the costume itself would be acceptable [Edit to fix quotes]
