Having Honorary members I mean its a great way to get our name out there and stuff. YOu know we can have Star Wars Actors/Actresses to be Honorary Members we give them a plaque and a shirt or something to that effect. We can also give them to people time to time at big conventions.
I do not know if we want them to be rebels or jedis only but since we have a close friendship with Ray Parks he would be a good choice for our first Honorary member. Just a sugestion.

I thought about that also because I don't remember others saying anything about it. It is a good way to get out there and the cool thing is you get to meet these actors/actress. Some groups have even gotten George Lucas himself to join offering him a very nice glass trophy and they got to meet him.

I think first the first inductees should be is George Lucas & Ray Park (I know he portrayed a sith but he seems to like us and he is very good person.)

Nick Gillard? Mark Hamil? I think Ray Park don't have to be in the first two.
on another hand, being the Jedi way, I am not certain we want to make that kind of honorary titles - Jedi isn't for the glory and shouldn't promote it. Just a tought.
if we do make those plaques, I think they should be given to the actors during conventions, and should be splitted up so every orders have their chances on giving some.
I'd like to add that as an association recognized by LFL, we don't really need to have those "honorary" membership to meet the important people of the SW universe... but it is a good recognition of their work for our fandom.
I'd also like to add that we can supply actors with some cool TJA novelty items if we don't go the "honorary member" way. Some others do it.
E.g. 501st challenge coins another example, Ontario's SG16 (stargate costumers) gave Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson) a SG16 t-shirt during T-Trek this year.

This has come up a couple of times before and never took off. My personal opinion is........... I don't like the idea of jumping on the "collect the stars on our website" aspect of it. And once we start, there will always be new stars someone will want to induct. On the other hand, I do understand the fun aspect of it. I got to meet and hang out with Admiral Motti and Greedo when Pete, Cal, and I inducted them into the RL. It was fun! It cost Pete a few bucks but it was fun. Other than the fun part, I don't see how it serves any real purpose. However, I do like the idea of giving them our club swag like lanyards, pins, patches and so forth. That would serve the same purpose in the name of fun and a reason to meet the stars. That just means putting aside merchandise for this purpose which could be an issue. It goes fast and LFL has been asking for samples. Not that we are complaining!!! And we have no more of anything at the moment. We have to wait until next year. The only exceptions to this I can see are George Lucas, Wierd Al, and R2-Joz-- who is already a member. And we're sic-ing Cor-Al on Wierd Al either way. Personal opinion over.

I don't believe this is what our club is about. Sure, a token of appreciation is always nice, but like Olos said... it's not for the glory. It's not about collecting trophy heads.

I agree that perhaps giving an actor a pin or something of that nature and maybe a group photo would be nice. But I didn't think we need to have a list of celebrities we have recruted to our group.
My thoughts
