first of all, I see that there have been changes to the code since I dissapeared including the allowance of the ep3 Anakin tunic. First off would the force fx anakin saber work for a prop to go with it?
second, also about the anakin tunic does everything have to be exact? IE; if you aren't trying to be anakin can you use the tunic and the rest of it fit your own character?
third involves the sig pics that many have - is it permissable for me to make my own with the same assembly crest?
and finally (quite the long shot...) I'm 17.5 on the 11th of feb - is there any possible way that I could join 6 months early as a full member or at least start on the perliminary stuff? I know it's probably a lot to ask but i'm the impatient sort. lol ;D (not the jedi way this is...)

Hi there and welcome back! Ok, let me see if I can answer all your questions one by one. First, I'm sorry, but we can't allow minors to join until they turn 18. The rules are in place for good reson to protect everyone. Our Assembly crest is carefully guarded by the Council and we don't allow memebers to have a copy of it due to the fact that we need LFL permission to use it and such. The Anakin Force FX saber I do think is allowed. But if I am mistaken another council memeber will let me know. The Anakin tunic should be fine even if you are not doing an Anakin replica. It's brown gauze which fits in with our brown/tan variations of movie Jedi. The rest of the costume we'd need to see to be sure it fits with our guidelines. I hope that answeres everything. If not ask some more.

okay that seems to answere all of my questions, I'll have to post a pic of my black one to see if it is close enough to anakin's or luke's to be acceptable (a little more flattering and comfortable than the tan one...)
and I know you just said that you couldn't easily give out the image but I have a long term request - recently I joined up with road squadron and am making changes to my car. what would it take to recieve permission to make a window decal of the ensignia so I can put this one alongside the road squadron one in my back window?

Sorry, can't do black jedi tunics unless it's Luke's "Return of the Jedi" one. The decal sounds good but it'll be a little bit before we cna find out if that's ok with Lucas Film. If it is, one of us will definatly let you know.

With regards to the black... According to the uniform code, it says that Anakin's costume may be recreated with black or brown tabbards. However, that would probably mean you would have to recreate Anakin's entire costume... Hope that's of some help

yes, you can recreate Anakins costume with brown or black TABBARDS... if you are referring to the tunic being black (which is what it appears on screen as, but in reality is very dark brown), I am pretty sure we do not accept this variation as of now. As Xana said, another council member will correct me if I am wrong.

even though anakin's clothing looked black, it was dark brown. we cant do black here, and i think its for a couple of reasons.
-there were few actual jedi with black, but all sith had black -people in the world view jedi in earthen colors, not black, so they would not think of you as a jedi in a charity or convention setting, they would think you to be sith.

Now that COSI has the actual tunic worn by Hayden and I've personally seen it, I can vouch that neither the tabbards nor the fabric are black. Everything is indeed very dark brown. There is no black in his costume at all

You'er right An'Jol,I don't think any Old Republic Jedi wore black. Luminara's clothing appears to be a very deep brown, or purple, maybe a dark shade of eggplant. Barris' could be the same shade or even a navy. There's very few pictures of them in sunlight, unfortuantly with the set and promo lights navy, eggplant, and dark brown appears black.:/ Not even Dooku's clothing is black, but a very dark brown.

From the reference images on the Padawan's Guide page, Luminara's robes are definitely dark brown. It really shows up in the pictures in the Dressing A Galaxy book, too. But Bariss's costume is as close to black (or eggplant) as I've seen on any Jedi, though her belt is dark brown. I never looked closely enough before now, but you're right, Dooku's clothes are very dark brown.
