you know, someone here should start one as the sister organization to the TJA to make cons more fun, and allow more leeway for star wars costumers here

Well before Darth Bane there were many Sith Lords. I'm sure a group could easily be made of Sith lords both custom and replicated. It would be awesome to see the Jedi Assembly do battle against the Sith Brotherhood. Kinda like the Fighting 501'st and the Rebel Legion.

What have I done? It was never my intention to *encourage* the development of a Sith Order. I was just trying to do some fact finding. Even though I stand AGAINST what the Sith stand for & what the Empire stands for, I respect Star Wars fans' rights to costume toward the Light Side or the Dark Side (or both). The reason the thought came up is because I saw a pic online of a Darth Talon costumer at this year's San Diego Comic Convention. [Darth Talon is the red female Twi'lek Sith that has Darth Maul-ish "tribal" tattoos. She appears in the recently released "Star Wars Legacy" comics.] Although the pic I saw was from the person's back, my friend who attended the con said he thinks it was actually a young girl in that costume. No verification of that yet. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_TalonPerhaps some of you have seen pictures of the Darth Talon costumer on the internet. In any case, I also saw a lot of Sith at Celebration III (as seen in the pix in the Rebel Legion Hawai'i site's gallery section). C3 helped me realize how so very *little* I know about Star Wars's Expanded Universe. Again, I only support the "good guys" but I feel it is wise to be knowledgable about ones own enemies. If an organized Sith Order costuming group DOES become a reality, I truly DO NOT want to be remembered as the Rebel / aspiring Jedi that caused the ball to start rolling. For this, I ask my fellow Rebels, all the Jedi & all their allies for forgiveness. May the Good Side of the Force be with us. Jay Tee www.rebellegionhawaii.comP.S. [Re-] Found it! its just a matter of the costumes, not the actual ideals of the sith. just like this site, its all about the costumes. you could say this would be for balance, for if there is no evil, one can know nothing of good. but this would be so that at cons it would look cool when you see both there.

yes there are sites that deal with the ideals of the Jedi and Sith and others like this that deal with simply the attire.

I'm just kidding! ;D There is a group I'm part of called the NY Jedi, and they are a lightsaber enthusiast group. Qui-kel is familiar with them. Anyway, the guy who started it--- Flynn is his name--- is looking to branch out and start groups around the country. My point is that many of their costumes are Sith/dark jedi, as well as light side Jedi. Maybe you can look into something like that, Qui-Kel... they are into the lightsaber choreography more than the costuming, but the costume is an important part of it. The Jedi Assembly is pure light side Jedi, and Jay Tee has reflected that sentiment.
