I know that all black costumes aren't allowed, my own was rejected because I might have been mistaken for a Sith Lord, but I'm curious as to the amount of black (if any) that is allowed in a costume... At the moment, I have an idea for modifying my original costume, but I'd like to know how much black is acceptable, because I'd hate to order something I couldn't use... My costume is based on Anakin's in Ep II, and at the moment, I admit that it is all black except for the robe (which is brown) However... I was thinking of getting a new tunic and dying it a terracotta brown, and then wearing it with the pants, boots, obi and synthetic leather tabbards I already have (all black) Would this be acceptable, or would it still be too 'dark'? If so, I could always dye a pair of pants the same brown, and would that then be okay instead? Also, I'm planning on ordering a cloak like Anakin's in Ep II rather than a robe, and I've been told I can have it made in black or dark brown... I'm tempted to have a black one, as that would be more fitting with the rest of my costume (especially if the only other black parts were the boots, obi and tabbards) but I'd hate to order it and thenbe told that it wasn't acceptable for being black (I could of course simply not wear it for my profile pictures...) Any help and advice is greatfully received

I heard that an all black costume was only accaptable if it was an exact replica of luke's costume in 'Return of the Jedi'.... But I'm not 100% positive, more like 87%.

I'm sorry, I've read the section, (and article V, part 3) but that hasn't really provided any clarification as to my question. I understand that a 'dark' costume has to be a specific replica of a costume, and I understand that any brown costumes are acceptable, but what I don't understand and seek clarification of, is if a costume that is black and brown would be acceptable, or if a costume that was brown with black elements would be acceptable

At this time we do accept black boots and belts. Any other black we would need to see the costume. Black cannot be the dominant color, it tends to look like a Sith costume then. Also black robes are not accepted. You could wear the tabbards you have with the tunic, obi and pants dyed to the terracotta brown you mentioned, and the brown robe. As long as it doesn't look too dark overall, it should work. Not saying you shouldn't buy the black cloak... it's what you like, just wear the brown one for the TJA costume... anything else is up to you!

Thanks, Leda With that in mind, I shall get the tunic and pants and dye them terracotta I can then submit pictures with and without the black cloak (and my existing dark brown Jedi rode) and see what is accepted
