Solinbeb Newau, Yuo cannot trust any source of colour corrected media...Bultars tan vs green is the same argument as Anakins brown vs black... Best examples are well lit "real" photos like:

Argggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.
Huh? Is that a "yet another brown vs. gray discussion" cry for help? I'm convinced that there are enough shades from cream to dark brown to go around and that people can find something that they look good in.
Hey, Primrodo, I like that picture. I don't remember seeing that from the ATOC extras. Is it from the DVD? Assuming that they haven't been altering individual elements in a photo, I generally go by people's skin tone to estimate how accurate the colors of the other things are in the picture--assuming the it has regular, white lighting.
Did Swan survive Genosis?

My second tunic is exactly that color, except it's crinkly.

Being that I tend to 'stand out' with what I wear. I abide by the rules that are set here. Doesn't mean I agree with them, don't be afraid to be your own Jedi.

Right. Don't let our rules stop you from making and wearing the costume you want. I believe everyone should make the costume they want to wear! If it doesn't gain acceptance here, then it doesn't. No reason you still can't have it and wear it to cons. I am currently working on a Sith costume that probbaly won't gain acceptance anywhere. It's for me to wear because I want it.

I've always figured that a jedi would have more than one set of clothes anyway. And just "Solinbeb" would suffice, really.

Best examples are well lit "real" photos like: I have to admit, in that picture, Anakin's tabbards really do look black, compared to the dark brown of his belt... That said, to the naked eye, my tunic is a browny terracotta color, but always photographs as red for some reason... I was watching the special features on the Resident Evil:Apocalypse DVD, and was surprized how much colors had been manipulated from original rushes to finished piece... Knowing Lucas loves his CGI tweaks as much as he does, I think that could be why there's such controversy over the actual colors of costumes like Anakin's, which really have to be seen first hand to realize that they truly are brown ;D

Look brown to me, I could always do what I have done before and throw a swatch of black across them. Then again your monitors Gamma maybe off And yes Anakin's AOTC costusme is much more brown that it photographs...even Obi-Wans boots turn reddish with a flash Solinbeb, I am not sure if you know how colour correction is done, but the first thing is usually levels of solid blacks and whites to equalize the images shadows and highlights, that ALONE can alter an images colour spectrum. Then a process of usually red and yellows is applied to match the skin tone f an indivodula..in Haydens case more tannish to make him less pale. Geonosis for instance occassionally made the Jedi look more red-yellow in all appearence in some shots, including the lightsabers!

Its that Dang BLAsted Khaki colors thats the problem. Some look tan, to green, to grey, to brown, to almost white. Its all in the lighting. I believe its a shade of the British khaki, more brown, where the US is more green or grey. I just spent about 2 hours at the mall yesterday trying to find the right color for my Obi type pants. If i hadnt brought along small swatches of my outfit with me, I would have blown my brains out. My eyes gave up, everything looked green after a while. Plus, Ive learned to trust Primrodo's photos more then most on the net Blow up that pic and take it with you to the fabric store * guess you saw this www.bultarswan.com/
