"Are you ok Padawan"?
Aleia shook her head and released Rau. If Odon wouldn't hurt him then she was fine with that for now. She just hoped Master Odon didn't hate her for what she had done.
"His name is Rau Master.."
She started to say when she blinked a few times. Suddenly feeling light headed as the loss of her blood begain to take it's toll on her. She shook her head and focused, determined not to fall off her feet after she made it this far. The Yuuzhan Vong pulled his Staff back and glared at the crowd that was growing. Despit that he hated technology, Rau didn't want to be looked at like an animal in a zoo even less.
"Aleeiaa has the makings of a true warrior Jeedai. This I do not make..." He paused for a moment. "Lightly."
Odon flickered his eyes over them both. His student looking very defensive towards anyone who would come inbetween her. However, now wasn't the time to seek how it had happened. Odon reached out and touched the Girls shoulder to re assure her... and her legs gave out. Rau caught her, and shot his staff out at Odon. It hissed as the Jedi Master moved away.
"Is this a trick Jeedai? What did you do to her?"
He held onto her as the crowd of Jedi murrmered and rose. Akari took a step foward but stopped when Odon roase his hand.
"She's hurt. I did not do anything to her. She is not like your kind that can go on with blood loss. You need to trust me. I won't harm you or her, follow me quickly.." Odon replied. Rau lifted the girl up into her arm. Still holding his weapon just in case. Alei opened her eyes to look at him and tried to say something.. but failed.
You are now a warrior, and any who contest that fact, will find my blade deep in their flesh.
His own words re-played threw his mind and as he looked down into her eyes he could see what she wanted to say. More in a feeling then words and he decided to follow the Jedi Master. They moved quickly down the long halls. Heads poked out of rooms with dumbfounded looks on their faces. Rau ignored it as Odon lead them into the med bay where he placed her down on the pretine white bed.
"Rau.."
She whispered harshly. The Vong looked at her for a moment. No pity in his eyes and she didn't expect, need, or want it from him as she tried to give a smile to him. Her look was enough. 'Stay with me please..' He did.

Odon stood in silence as the Too-One Be droid monitored her vital signs, his eyes watching the stoic warrior who stood guard. According to this Rau Dilong, he and Aleia had killed a rogue warrior in the old ruins. That was disturbing in of itself, since it was obvious the Jedi had no clue that two Yuuzhan Vong were on planet.
"Master Baas, she has lost too much blood. I do not foresee her making it through the night unless a viable donor contributes at least a pint to stabilize her".
Odon frowned. "Should not the Praxeum not have ample stores of blood? She is human. Is her type rare"?
The droid seemed to hesitate. "Her blood is not entirely human Master Jedi. I have ruin a complete genetic diagnostic, and taken the liberty to do a complete family geaneology to find a suitable donor. It seems that this child has the same DNA as one Tahiri Veila".
That name Odon knew. "She was a Yuuzhan Vong experiment in the great war. Are you telling me that Aleia is a similiar experiment"? He regarded Rau cooly, but he did not sense any duplicity. The fact that he could sense his mind, was bizarre enough. That, theoretically, was impossible.
"No sir. She is a descendant of Veila, but Padawan Dreycon herself is a hybrid. She is half Yuuzhan Vong, and she would need both blood types".
This kept getting more stranger by the moment, but now was the time for action, not speculation. He looked at the warrior, and spoke calmly.
"Rau Dilong, son of Yun Yuuzhan, would you give some of your life blood to save this young Padawan"?
Dilong did not hesitate. "If she is even half, she is one of our kind. I will do what is necessary Jeedai Master, on one condition".
Odon's eyebrow raised in question. "Which is"?
"That you help me find the source of my disease, and cure me of this...this...Force".
It was an interesting request, and a more interesting view of what the Force was. This seemed to be the right thing to do. He just sensed it.
"It shall be so Rau Dilong, but you must trust in me, and not make conclusions. You must set aside the warrior, and become something new".
Rau looked down at the barely breathing girl. "It shall be so Jeedai". He pointed toward the bulky droid. "Take my blood, and save her".

Half Vong?
How could that be? Aleia's family never mentioned anything. Surly something like that would have been said. Then again, mabey that was the reason she had the life she did. Mabey her parents died for more then what she could remember. Either way the droid couldn't lie.
"Take my blood, and save her"
Did she hear it all right? Mabey it was because she was so badly hurt that she was feverish. Yea.. that was it. There was no way she could have heard that right. She tried to speak, turning her pale and bloodid face to see Rau taking a seat next to her.
"Wha-"
Rau didn't let her finish as he placed his hand once again on her scar. She stopped and just looked at him as he spoke something to her in his tongue. Aleia again opened her mouth but Master Odon took her attention as another medical droid came over and started to cut off her clothing.
"Easy now Padawan. You need to relax and trust me. Neither of us will leave you. You have shown far more potential this day then I would have ever imagined."
He then reached over her face with something she couldn't describe. Even though weak she started to struggle and again Master Odon calmed her.
"It's just to clean the wound.."
His words calmed her and as he pressed the stinging stuff to her face she didn't even wince. Most of her clothing was not stripped away and a sheet was used to cover her nakedness. Aleia didn't even notice and Odon too now saw her back scar.
"I need to sedate the patient." Came the medical droid as Master Akari waslked in. The Sulleston opened his eyes wide as he watched the droid attach a tube to the Vong's arm and moved over to the girl.
"What in the Force! Stop!! You'll kill her!"
He shouted, moving over towards them. Rau shot his head up and gave a low snarl of warning before Odon intervened. The Medical droid gave the girl a light sedative.
"Master Akari, calm down. Aleia needs his blood or she will not live threw the night."
The Jedi Master stopped and blinked a few times. It was as if the whole room was on a drug. He couldn't have heard that right.
"What?"
Odon signaled the droid over. "Her blood is not entirely human and the child has the same DNA as one Tahiri Veila. The only sutable doner here is Rau Dilong." The droid sounded annoyed as if having to repeate the wprds was going to kill the girl. Akari blinked and took the charts, still not believeing it.
"There are no decendants from Tahiri..." He began.
"Apparently we missed something in the history chronicles.." Odon added, turning his head back as Rau stood and took one step towards the Jedi Masters. Akari placed his hand hear his lightsaber and the vong didn't miss that. Even though he couldn't move too far with what he thought was infidel technology in his arm the vong still held his weapon in the other and had it ready.
"The girl is of my people and I will not let her die. Even though she like me with tainted blood I will not let her die like this. She deserves no less then a warrior's honor.." Rau hissed before taking carefull aim as he sat back down and looked over to Aleia. The droid then moved up and started the procedure as the Vong's black blood moved from the tube in his arm over to the girls.
"What does this mean?" Came Akari's voice, almost in a whisper.
"The Living force brought them together. Now.. we wait and see.." Came Odon's wise words, finishing the rest silently... Decendant of Tahiri Veila

"Master Baas, you cannot seriously be considering taking that....thing as a student"! Jik Akari stood toe to knee with the Corellian Master, but was not the least bit intimidated by the height difference.
"It is not only unorthodox, but against Praxeum protocol to accept a new student this late in the semester, besides he is too old, and as I said, a killer".
The round sullustan was literally frothing at the mouth. "And if this young girl is one of them, then I daresay that puts her training in jeopardy. I mean, can we be certain of her any longer? What if this is some clever ruse to gain entry into our hallowed halls".
Odon had heard enough. "I am a member of the Jedi Council. This decision is mine alone Master Akari. If need, I can bring Aslan here now to settle the issue". He let the threat hang over the fussy Jedi's head for a moment.
"No, that will not be necessary, but I promise you I will be watching them closely, and if they harm anyone of my students, I will hold you personally responsible".
"If that is your stance, so be it". He walked away from the old toad, and stood next to the medical droid.
"Has her condition changed at all", he asked gently.
"No Master Jedi. I am afraid that her chances of survival are less than fifty percent. Her injuries were too severe. Perhaps if we had known sooner we could have done more".
Odon was suddenly worried. "But there is hope she will wake"?
"Most likely she will slip into a coma and die sir. The next half hour will be telling. Should I have the Vong removed now, since he is no longer needed"?
Odon considered that, but it seemed to him that the two had forged a delicate bond during the course of their adventure. The Vong, Rau Dilong, did not stand vigil, but he did sit placidly in the far corner of the room, watchful. It was not in their nature to show tenderness, but the fact he remained here showed she mattered.
"No, leave him where he is. He means no harm to anyone from what I can sense. Thank you Too-One-Cee. Please keep me updated on any changes".
So it seemed Alei Dreycon would die, if something miraculous did not happen soon. It was a terrible shame, and he felt personally responsible, after all, he had sent her, young and inexperienced, into the forest. This was his error. He opened himself to the living force, and watched as two Jedi healers, Amara, and Gilanti, two very qualified individuals, sought to heal her further, and bring Aleia back from the abyss.

Aleia floated on nothing. Laying in the darkness as she tipped from one side to the other. There was no pain nor feeling as she drifted. Yet her soul kept her steady, if only barley. So in that she started to dream. Aided by the force that was now apart of her, bits of her past started to come back. Locked memories that were now, no longer forgotten and one in particular that would later baffel her....
""The young male paced the great hall. Doctors running back and forth. Brushing past him as if he were made of air. It had already been over an hour when his wife had gone into labor. "Please let them be ok.." His voice came out in a husk. A cry came out, painful as his wife panged the birth. The child was a miracle , for they were told they would never have a child. No one to take over the family business. Another scream, pushing Marco to the breaking point of busting down the door and going to his wife. Just as he thought he could stand no more did the shrill cry of an infant was heard. Tears streamed down his face as the doors opened a moment to let him in. Marco rushed to Kalia, who was holding a small moving bundle.
"It's a girl.." She breathed, pulling the loose fabric aside to reveal the perfect child.
The Doctor's left the new parents and Kalia looked up into her husbands eyes. "She will pass as a human.." Much to Marco's relief he took a seat by her side.
"No one must ever know.. not even Aleia..." Words that were overheard by the nurse before she walked back in...""""""
Back in the room Rau watched silently as the Jedi did their best to heal her. He didn't miss what was said. If she died then it was her destiny, but he hoped the young warrior would live. He was now more curious how she had lived. By rights he should have struck her down as an abomanation, but he was no less then her. For that he hoped she would live....
""""" The small child walked down the street, holding a hand to her right eye. She didn't understand why the other kids hated her. The parents only encouraged them to beat her up. She tired to make friends and her own parents couldn't do anything. Someone shoved her. Aleia looked up to see one of their neighbors give a disgusted look.
"Freak..your kind is all alike.."
"Abomanation.."
The words hurt but she still didn't know why and only cried and ran home to her mothers arms.
"Mommie.. they. h-h-ate me..." She sobbed as her mother could only hold her only child. "W-w-w-why?" She sniffed and looked up to her mother. Kalia only gave the child a sad smile.
"They don't understand.. there is nothing wrong with you.. Nothing.. Never believe them. Someday you'll understand that..." """"""""
Time passed and still Aleia didn't wake. The healers continued working on her. She wasn't gone yet as one of them stood and looked over to the two Jedi Masters. The look was plain and yet said nothing.
"She is there.. the will to live is strong, but there is little more that we can do but wait."
Odon nodded to them in thanks, his head shifting over to look at Rau who didn't give any hint of emotion back. Master Akari however was being more vocal.
"Let the girl die in peace. She shouldn't have to wake to find out she is like that creature..." He snapped. Rau then stood and quickly walked over towards them. His eyes set only on Master Akari.
"If she dies..." He started to say when Akari took a step back and unclipped his lightsaber. Igniting the blade the deadly hum only served to fuel the Vongs anger. His weapon hissed as it slithered up his arm and readied for an attack. "She is like me yess.. but she has shown more worthy of a human then you or any Infedel." The urdge to strike out strained him to the ends when he heard a struggled gasp come from over Aleia's bed. The Jedi healers that still were at her bed side backed away. Aleia opened her eyes and turned her head over to look at Rau and the other Jedi. The medical droid buzzed over then and started checking it's patient. After a fe moments it turned around.
"Padawan Dreycon is stable. She will need another transfusion shortly to aid in her recovery..."

Odon placed a calm hand on the Vong's shoulder, neither afraid, or threatening. "Peace Rau, she will be safe. I will handle this". The massive Corellian walked forward and used the Force to strip the weapon from the shivering Sullustan.
"Master Akari, I suggest you confine yourself to your quarters, and meditate on your actions this day. If you refuse, I will have the Council convened, and you stripped of your rank as Headmaster".
He did not let the old sage have an opportunity to speak. "Knight Al-Dinn", he ordered, "escort Master Akari out of the medical wing immediately". There was no question in his command, and the younger Jedi complied, gesturing for the Sullustan to leave.
He turned to face the Yuuzhan Vong. "If you are too learn from me, you must trust in my judgement. A true warrior never pulls his blade unless threatened. You did well in this first test Rau Dilong".
The Vong only nodded, but he seemed to understand. "I must tend to her Jeedai. She needs my blood to live".
"Then you have learned the most crucial aspect of what it means to be a Jedi Knight; compassion". Odon nodded for him to proceed, as he stood in silence and watched the pair. The living force had brought them together, and the living force alone would make this Yuuzhan Vong a Jedi.
The only thing that stood in the way was prejudice. He only hoped that it had not seeped into the politics of the Jedi Council.

Aleia looked up as the droid had moved to prep the tools needed. Rau came to her side and looked down onto her face. Her wounds were cleaned and bandaged for the moment. Taking a seat down beside her as the computer readouts beeped and clicked to give the readouts on her.
"You stayed..."
She whispered to him. Suprised that he was still there and not an illusion. Rau tilted his head to the right as he streached the arm out. Letting the droid place the tool that was needed.
"I will teach you the ways of our people.." He announced back to her. Aleia gave a look of confusion for a moment. Not sure why he had said "our". Taking a deep breath she watched as the droid pulled the bed sheet back and prepped her arm for the transfusion. Her eyes caught the tube that was in Rau's arm and th other end that was now going into her own arm.
"Wha-" She started. Her mind going fuzzy with blantent confusion

Odon intervened, as he placed his hand on the young girl's wrist to calm her. "It is alot to absorb Padawan, but it seems that you are descended from the Jedi Tahiri Veila, who was a Yuuzang Vong experiment over a hundred years ago. Her family intermarried with Rau's people, and according to the genetic analysis, you are half Yuuzhan Vong".
Too-One-Cee was monitoring her vitals, and he swiveled his head toward the Jedi Master. "Master Baas, she is weak, but should recover soon. This afternoon we will submerge her in Bacta, but for now Koltos injections should get her strength up".
The Master nodded appreciately. "Thank you for your assistance old friend".
"Odon", a familiar voice boomed, "you are needed at Council. It seems Master Akari has brought charges about improprieties committed by you and your student". Master Valan had a smirk on his ebony features. "What did you do this time to upset the old Sullustant"?
Odon grinned. "I put him in his place, as should have been done long ago. Why the Council tolerates that being, I will never know, but rest assured he will learn a harsh lesson this time".
The younger man laughed softly. "Of that I am certain. Is everything alright here"? There seemed to be suspicion in his voice, but that was understandable. It was not everyday a Yuuzhan Vong came to the Praxeum. The last time they had, there had been war.
"Rau is looking after Aleia. Come, escort me, and I will fill you in along the way".
He squeezed Aleia;s wrist for reassurance. "I will return shortly, for now rest, and perhaps educate our new student about Praxeum policies".
"Student", Valan gasped, but the Corellian ignored it for now.
"May the force be with both of you".

"For all the evil the enemy do, they aren't dark, exactly—the enemy are entirely outside the Force."
He watched her closely. "One of your own kind, said this long ago about my people. For years I have pondered its meaning, but have been unable to find an answer, that is until I met you, and learned what you are".
This was a difficult admission, but it was the correct one. "The Yuuzhan Vong committed great sin in our past transgressions, so terrible that this Force exiled us from its company. We became monsters, as your Master Akari said, and even my own ancestor, a tyrant like none before. He came close to destroying this galaxy, and remaking it in his own image".
Shimmra had been deceived by Onimi, but his path to treachery had started long before.
"The murderer, Onimi, added Yammosk tissue to his brain, so he could touch this Force. He used its powers to control Shimmra like a puppet. Yet now, I think it is their actions which matter, not the Force".
He pulled his hand away. He did not wish her to get the wrong idea. "If I now have that same ability, it is because of a natural gift, not foreign like the shapers attempted. I wonder if perhaps this Force is offering me the opportunity to redeem my people, as I am the first one to feel it in millenia".
He sighed. This was not the way of a warrior, but it was the path toward enlightenment and understanding.
"I will trust you, and this Jeedai Master. I sense no duplicity within either of you. It will be difficult to reconcile my culture with that of the Force, but for the sake of my ancestors legacy, I am willing to do my best".

( Thanks! ANd yea I'm here.. Heres some more for ya to read.. Hope you enjoy it...)
The words he spoke were a comfort to her. Even as he pulled his hand away she didn't think anything less of it. Contented that he was going to stay and learn with her...Learn from each other. Aleia didn't say anything as he gave her an admitence. It wasn't what he needed nor what he would want.
"I thought.. you already trusted me."
She spoke back, half closing her eyes as his blood entered her to give strength. Aleia was at least relieved. Everything fit now in her life. WHy she was an outcasted bantha heap most of her life.
"At least I know who I am now.. I was dreaming about my past. Before my parents died I was called a freak and abomanation. One of my dreams didnt even make sense.. It.. It was my birth and I heard my mother say that I would pass as human and would never know who I was.."
Aleia didn't let him speak, but it didn't matter. She was contented with just having someone to talk to. Someone like herself that she could see, feel and touch. Not an image of something she didn't know of. In many ways it lifted a heavy burden and she accepted that.
"it's how I earned the scar on my back.. and.. and I think Master Odon would hate me if he knew the truth of it.."

Jeedai do not hate", he corrected her, "even a Yuuzhan Vong knows that much. That is why our shamed ones rallied to them during the later stages of the war. The Jeedai did not judge, and neither would your Master judge you".
He listened to her as she spoke of the dreams. He knew the answer to one of them. "A Yuuzhan Vong is humanoid, and as we grow, and achieve, we mutilate, scar and tatoo ourselves in honor. Many see us as monsters, but without all these modifications, we look much like you. Since no one has seen such a Yuuzhan Vong, they allow their eyes to deceive them. While you were unconscious, they determined that you were half of what I am, which means that most likely your father was full blooded".
He considered that fact very carefully. "If she had not hidden it, you would have been ostracised, or possibly killed. Many still hate us, and rightfully so. My people are lost, and seek answers to what has become of our great Empire. If I did not trust you, then I would not hold hope that perhaps one day they can be saved from this tragic path of insignificance".

She frowned for a moment. Aleia knew that what he said was true but at the same time she was confused. In her dreams she saw her father as human. She grew up knowing him as a human.
"Rau..in my dreams and from what little I remember of my parents.. they were human. How could he hide what he was?"
Aleia almost felt hurt. More questions arised in mind as to why things were as they happened.
"If I am seen as a...monster then the pure blood Vong would have killed me too wouldn't they?"
She blinked and looked up at him. Reading the many scars that were on his features. Each one she wanted to know about. Wanting to learn of who she really was.
"And Rau.. I like your scars.. I don't find you hideous or a monster. Had I been raised as one of you what.. waht do you think my name would have been?"
Rau looked at her. Not sure what to say as she accepted what she was and him so easily. He was sure shortly that the other Jedi would return in moments. They probably wouldn't have much time alone. The girl needed to know who she was.

"Perhaps he was not your true father". The facts were as clear to him as a bright sunny morning. She would have to accept this on her own time, when she was well enough to look deeper into her family history.
"Today, this is not the case, but during the war you would have been less than a shamed one. Your very conception would be heresy, but the old Gods no longer exist, so now you just are".
He nodded at her compliment, but remained impassive. "They are marks of my courage, but I have far to few to be deemed a true warrior of my kind. Perhaps in the near future, I can earn more, but only if the deed is honorable. The true monsters were those Yuuzhan Vong who killed innocents. Such thing is beneath a true warrior".
Her plea to know what she would be called was a difficult one. "It is difficult to tell, because you do not even know what Domain you come from. Depending on that, you would have received an appropriate first name. For now, you must be at peace. There will be time enough to ask questions when you are healed. But those questions should be of those who hid your secret. Those who lied to you as a child".

"Those who lied to me are dead.. So I guess I will never know..." She replied to him with a hint of almost sadness in her voice. Things really were diffrent for her now. It was only days ago that she lived a hard life on the streets. Now she was a Jedi Padawan and hopefully had a friend in Rau.
"Mabey it was for the best that I never knew.. but Rau.. I am glade that I met you and I hope you can stay here. You really are diffrent then what I read about."
Not only that but she had first hand experience at what the other Vong had done to her. Blinking back a few times she shifted and pulled herself to a sitting position. Knowing the medical droid would probably scramble it's circuts, but she didn't care. Aleia was in pain, but it was not so bad as before.
"You need to rest.." Rau replied, taking a deep lengthing breath. Aleia caught that he was thinking about something and decided to ask before the other Jedi came back. She gave him a quizzeled look that creased part of her healing scar painfully and forgot the first thing she wanted to ask him.
"I'll be fine.. I. I don't normaly ever have medical treatment... ever.."
