Has anyone else noticed that there are hardly any if at all just a plain white clone trooper in this movie?

The clones always seemed to be fighting, so I wouldn't really expect them to be clean. All the clone troopers were CGI, so they could dirty them up any way they wanted. I think the only "real" clone was Cody, but that's because he had his helmet off.

Well what i really meant was rank. Almost all the troopers have a red mark down the middle or some type of color insignia. You never really see just a plain soldier with normal armor like the storm troopers or the clones in episode 2.

According to the Visual Dictionary, I think the idea was to try and show the diversity of the clones (something of an oxymoron) It's again, sadly one of those things that was thought of recently, rather than sticking closer to the original stormtroopers (who weren't clones, but all wore virtually identical armor) Personally, I really liked seeing the variants in color, particularly the camo-armor worn by the troops on Kashyyk

I agree the camo armor was sweet. Also if you think about it most of the clones now were probably veterans who have gained many ranks(Take Cody for example). I also noticed that the troops that anakin marched to the jedi temple with had blue markings(I guess that means a basic cadet). But still do you ever wonder why the stormtroopers never had a rank unless you count sand troopers or the pilots.

Cody wasn't all real...just his head. The rest was CGI armor. The color in Ep2 represents rank, but in RotS it denotes legion. The blue stripes mean the trooper is part of the 501st legion.

Yes, I was just looking at the ROTS extras and I didn't realize that Cody's armor was CG, too! I am surprised. I just assumed that it would be easier to make armor for the actor.
About the clones....I haven't really looked much at their markings, so I don't know why they don't have any plain ones. About the stormtroopers....aren't there some of them that have colored shoulder covers that designate rank? Otherwise I suppose their plain look is consistent with the near lack of fashion that developed in the Empire. Just compare Leia with her mother....

Watched E3 again today and there are no white troopers. (strange that they came out with action figures of the white trooper in which there is none) The blue striped clones are called the tatical opps division sent on search and destroy missions, hence anakin leading them to the jedi. Yes i agree with you jaren about the color desinating legion. I noticed that most of the clones with Cody where yellow, and Commander Gree's(the Camo trooper) had camo troops as well. So it must depend on the commander of the legion.

I loved all the diffrent diversity with the clones. I thought it was really cool the way they did it all.

what about all the clone standing around the ships departing for Kasheek (yeah, I know it's spelled wrong...) I'm pretty sure some of them were all white. But for hte most part, the clones had some sort of color to them. I guess the empire decided it would be cheaper to leave of the markings when they updated...

I also enjoyed the different colors because, instead of them being just clones it gave them personalitys, such as Cody joking with Obiwan. Kinda stinks that they turned into storm troopers, and became the very visage of the evil Empire. Don, now that you mention it i do think there were some white ones there at the departing ships but for the most part about 98% of the ones i saw were either red, blue, yellow or my personal favorite Camo(guess its cause im a redneck) EDIT: Check out this link to wikipedia. It tells all about the stuff we've discussed. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_Wars_clone_trooper_legions

True it never said if he died, but he did turn on Obiwan in a flash. Also i just learned Cody was one of the first clones that were cloned from jango fett, and also the most independent of the commander(hence him becoming good friends with General Kenobi.
