Ive heard alot of people say that anakin turned to the darkside to quickly so i found a fact that could prove them wrong. Episode3 had to have taken place over a period of 9 months since padme barely had a fat stomach in the beggining and gave birth in the end. So unless humans in the star wars saga have an advanced birth concieving rate of about 3 days then it had to have been at least 9 months right?

An episode of the Clone Wards alluded to Anakin and Padme going to bed, and that would have been the 9 month period up to ROTS... The reason she didn't appear so pregnant at the begining of the film, is that the costume designers wanted to give the impression that she was trying to conceal her pregnancy (from everyone) while still letting the viewers know that she was with child...

I have Adelphia and can get Cartoon Network. Must be your local set-up.
I figure Ep. 3 takes place over about a six-week to 2 month period of time, so she would have been about 6-7 months pregnant at the beginning of the film. Also I don't think it was quite her due date, that they delivered the twins a tad prematurely due to her dying.

True, they had to have been taken early... but you know how the "movies" are about portraying newborns... all fat and pudgy looking. at least the twins looked like accurate newborns when they were delivered! I guess seeing preemies would have creeped a few people out... not that the burning scenes didn't but you know what I mean!

and...besides the pregnancy... Anakin was already grappling with the "Dark Side" in AOTC....and there was also more refernces in "Labrynth of Evil" and the Clone Wars Cartoons.....
It may have appeared sudden...but he had been heading down the path for years...

SO the clone wars pademe was already with child? I thought that the movie was like a period of 9 months as well.

Yeah, Anakin had been struggling with the dark side pretty much since he left his mother, so thats what, like 11 years or something?
It only seems sudden because in RotS he finally gave in and fell over the edge.

I think it was the episode where Anakin first returns to Coruscant having aquired the scar on his face, or the episode where C-3PO gets his golden covering that there is a distant shot of Padme's apartment at night, and the light going out (about as close to as Lucas dared to hint) To be honest, I thought the events in ROTS took place over a few days at the most, I'll rewatch it and see how many day/night changes I pick up on... Also, as Master Gochi has said, there were clear indications in Clone Wars of Anakin turning to the Dark Side, most noticeably when he was fighting Assaj Ventress, and there was a momentary flash of Master Yoda, and another momentary flash of Obi-Wan. Now, they were unaware of the evente transpiring, so it can only be assumed that Anakin was if not taking out his frustrations towards them, actually imagining that it was them that he was fighting...

Thats what i hate about Adelphia cable cant get cartoon network to watch the clone wars series. So much stuff goes on during that series. Pick up volume 1 on DVD and volume 2 will be out soon. Or if you are a hyperspace member on starwars.com you can see all 25 chapters.

Ack! I just saw that Clone Wars 2 would be out on amazon.com on Dec 6. I didn't want to get them until I could get them all. That will fill in a few details on Anakin and Padme between movies. It took so long for them to download I didn't catch the commentaries online.
