Well, I don't feel like getting excited until I actually get the DVD. Then I'll celebrate.

I'll think about getting the 6-movie boxed set if they add new extras to it. But I'll wait until I see the reviews.

They had mentioned that in a few years Star Wars may be in 3D at CIII.

"" According to The Hollywood Reporter, George Lucas is such a fan of the latest 3-D technology that he is planning to remaster all of the Star Wars films for rerelease in 3-D.
Appearing as part of a sextet of high-profile directors promoting 3-D and digital cinema at ShoWest on Thursday, Lucas said he hadn't yet committed to a precise schedule but hoped to have the first film ready for the 30th anniversary of the original Star Wars movie in 2007 and that he would then rerelease one Star Wars film per year in 3-D. (YUCKie, i have yet to see a 3D movie done well ) We will be able to buy new DvDs from Lucas from now till the end of time , hehe I haven't either, but knowing how GL developes the needed technology so he can put out the movie the way he wants it, I have a suspition that these won't be like any other 3-D. Lucas is the innovator when it comes to movie production, the rest of the Directors' Guild follows suite. If the 3-D episodes follow the rest of SW tradition, I'll buy them. BUT, I do want to see them first. As far as buying SW till the end of time, it's rather a shred business move. It ensures that he and his descendants will never have to worry about money. Nice inheritance!

Innovative or not, I still don't have any depth perception. So, 3-D adds nothing to a movie to me.

Me either. Having one eye does not lend itself to depth perception. Ani, you andi shuld boycott the theatres!
