I think that there are too many questions to be answered in Ep. 3 to have it be just a mere two hours long (or thereabouts). I am all for an EPIC film (like say, Titanic) that is 3 to 3 1/2 hours long and answers all our questions (like why didn't Qui-Gon disappear like Yoda & Obi-Wan when he died). Who is with me? ;D

[glow=blue,3,0000]Let's see... all the other movies have been 2 - 2.5 hr. long. So it would be kinda wierd to have one movie that's a half hour longer than the other 5. Then again, I don't think anyone would mind. ::grin::[/glow]

Oh yea!! Let's jave a 3 to 3 1/2 hour Star Wars movie to tie up loose ends. I would be very happy to sit through a long movie to find out how episodes 4,5,6 tie in with episodes 1 and 2.

I like that idea. Too much ground to cover in just 2 hrs or so, and it would be a nice finale to the SW movies.

I have to agree with Jedimom, so many questions remain unanswered... it will undoubtly be a very long movie... can't wait!

I don't think that all of our questions could be answered in 2-2.5 hrs, but I don't think that Mr. Lucas is going to make it much longer than the others. Also, if you went to the IMAX rendering of AOTC, remember how parts were cut out? Mr. Lucas can't put much extra over 2 hrs that is important, 'cause it'll get chopped off.

I would be happy with a 4-5 hour finale. I don't think that's going to happen though. I seem to remember reading in a recent issue of SW Insider that EpiIII will be the shortest film compared to the other 5. This was said by Rick McCallum. I literally cannot comprehend how Lucas can answer everyone's questions and tie up all the loose ends with this final film if it's shorter than the others. I think that fans will be devastated if this one doesn't go off without a hitch.

I will sit as long as is needed to tell the story.... ;D ;D
One thing for sure...if it is 3 hours or so....there won't be an IMAX version.....as the IMAX projector can only handle two hours...as we all know...a lot of footage had to be cut from AOTC in order to accomodate IMAX...
unless they decided to make it into two reels for Episode III on IMAX

The Star Wars films have always been technologically inovative. Why stop now? We can intermission at the IMAX! lol!

Yea! Why can't we have the 3 hour IMAX version of EP III on 2 reels? I wouldn't mind an intermission, myself.
