Found on another board:
"Anyways... I found, at B&N, the first of the new set of junior books Judy Watson (I believe that's her name) is writing about the time between EIII and EIV. The first is about Obi-Wan taking on one last mission before settling in to guard Luke. Not sure if all the stories will follow Obi-Wan or not (all her other books in the previous two series did). The title of the series is "The Last of the Jedi" ( I think that's right), so they may follow different jedi?"
So hopefully the new series is out now and hopefully more about Obi.
Darn, too bad no B&N around here. May have to check their website

Here's Amazon's take on it:
"After the events of Episode III, Obi-Wan Kenobi finds himself adrift in the galaxy . . . with Darth Vader on his trail."

Hadn't read this before I found the book at B&N today. Picked it up but will wait to read it.
I didn't realize until I read this that it is a series. Just looked at the book again. You're absolutely right. Series is "The Last of the Jedi" and this first book is titled "Desperate Mission".
I thought I read Jude Watson was going to stop writing Star Wars books so I'm glad to see that doesn't seem to be the case!

Finished it about a week ago. Pretty good. You can really see how Obi-Wan is beating himself up over Anakin' betrayal. Also re-introduces a character from the Jedi Quest series.

I started it at CIII but got to page 4 and stopped as it was revealing more than I wanted to know before seeing Ep III. It was really good up to that point and will finish it quickly after seeing the film.

yeah you should see the film first, or read the novelization.
I bought it the other day... it really is a good follow-up to RotS.

It's a very fast read, since it is a very simplistic plot. But I really like Jude Watson's style as there is more action and not as much flowery prose. And she doesn't really dumb it down. She figures if you're readig it, you're a Star Wars fan and pretty much know what's been going on Even Nerf is reading it and enjoying it
