Yes they are an investment, but when I see kids drop their jaws at the sight of a real Jedi, they see the Lightsaber that looks real and the robe etc, it's like they feel they can touch the things they dream about and that to me is worth al the money in the world.

Hi, yes they are an investment, but if you're going to conventions or doing a lot of activities in your Jedi costumes, you'll want more than one, just think of wearing one set of clothes for an entire weekend at a con.

Oh yeah, me too. All the time. If it's not the cut and style, it's the fabric, or the color. (For the record, I like your dark brown tunic alot. So guess what my color my next one is? ;D) Everything looks better on someone else, ya know? Sound familiar at all? Maybe we need a thread for us. lol! The jealousy thread.

.....and.....since we are off the original subject anyway... I just ordered 10 yards of dark brown wool fabric for a new robe....I bought the stuff that Jedi Kai posted in the "Costumes in General" thread....I hope it looks as good in person as it does on the internet! yikes.....wool I am making this robe in a different style from my first two robes....it will have honkin' large sleeves...and a larger hood....I am just not happy with the cotton/linen blend that I made my 2nd robe with...and my first robe....let's just say it was a "prototype"...

Hope you post pics. I would love to see it. I bet we all would. I get jealous from all the talent that is around here. I have some, but not compared to what others have.

I'm new here, but long have I studied to make an accurate Jedi costume, and I think I have them pretty well figured out. One thing that has always irked me is the Visual Dictionary arguments, things like the food capsules sitting on the accent belt of the Jedi Belt, when they clearly don't if you look at every picture and looking on film...things like the covertec clip is a recharge port, etc. When they write stuff its basically to fill up space, like the Dark Knight section of Anakin, where it says teh council is upset at his chosen colours etc, when theres 3 members of the council wearing teh same colours, and some Jedi in the Arena wearing even darker! The part about it not being a uniform is pretty in accurate. With the exception of 3 (Luminara and Aayla) The Jedi costume is pretty consistant, granted there are a few variations, like Ki-Adi for example. But the still have an element the same, like the Obi or Tabbards. As for colours Trisha said in the latest Insider that all the Jedi wear a shade of brown, even Dooku wears all brown. Personally to me anything but earth tones doesn't say Jedi to me...greens pushing the envelope. But theres so many shades of brown and white you can play with and look so much more JEDI like. Thats my rant Now you can continue to be off topic
