I ran out of time to make another undertunic for D*C, so I'm having to wear my original khaki one with my new brown tunic. The problem is -- it's too big and bunches up in the front as the day wears on. (The second one I made is a size smaller than called for on the size charts, but it works better with the stretchy gauze.) While trying on my new ensemble tonight, I had an idea. After I got my undertunic criss-cross done, I pinned each side of the undertunic to my bra, just below the strap. The "bumps" from the safety pins are hidden under the tabards, so they won't show. Sorry, guys, this won't work for you, but then again, you don't have the "issue" that causes "costume crawl". BTW, for those on the "weight loss" part of the "things to do before D*C" thread, I DID get my belt latched... barely... gasp....

The half undertunic works for me... I can't stand having layers of bulk under my belt. It doesn't bunch, because it's not tucked in.

I liked that midriff undertunic idea! Mine bunched and crawled more toward the front at the crossover rather than the waist.... unfortunately the waist bunching problem is that unruly obi!!?! ... my next project is to try yet another configuration. Then a new large pouch... just picked up a single shoulder at Tandy. They're on sale this month. Then a new undertunic... My list keeps growing.... I'm addicted to costuming. ;D

I always like a long undertunic so I can tuck it into my pants. It just stays in place better for me that way. Fortunately, the undertunics and be thin fabric, like Anakin's in ATOC.
