Does playing with your SW action figures count? Seriously, Ben had no cape or saber until I found out they made rerpos of them years ago. And Luke's and Vader's sabers are all bent up. I liked to go camping and take walks in the woods with my dog, Spike. Playing fetch with him was a daily event.

Excuse me for sounding like a jerk, again, but shouldn't that be "Pass Times"? Since they are used to pass the time?
We didn't have any high tech toys when I was growing up, because they didn't exist yet.
My brothers and I used to love playing with Lincoln Logs (do they still sell those?). We had several sets and we'd build big towns.
Then we'd take small toys, build little "catapults" and proceed to "bomb" the buildings out of existence till they were all destroyed.
Good times.

Thanks... Im not feeling too good today thus spelling is worse then normal.
Wel I remember playing with Lincon lgs myself and legos with my brothers. We had buckets of the stuff and we used the small Lincon log's as amo at each other. We had this one time where we had this whole city and we wanted it to snow.... So we went and took baby powder to the entire room. My parents still have the pictures.

Now as a kid I hadn't any tech-ish toys either. Computers? What's that? Didn't see one until I was thirteen and had a ball figuring out how it worked and programed it. I do remember my brother's Star Wars figures, army models(tanks, aircraft.), the neighbor's Thundercats toys, and fireworks. We used to use M80's, fire crackers and anything else to blow up the tanks, plastic butter bowls, Jabba the Hutt. Mini-bike riding. Lincoln logs, doll houses, barbies. Small "b" because of the extreme number of them andnot all were named ' barbie". ;-) Puzzles. I'd put together lots of puzzles and read archives of books.

Actually, the word is ' pastime'. It is used when referring to an activity that pleasantly occupies one's spare time. When I was little, my family played cards using candy hearts as 'chips'. More motivation to win! lol!

I played that too--- wow, now we're going way back! Heheh...
Another thing I used to love is the paint wheel--- that thing that you attatched an index card to and it spun around while you dripped paint onto it. It made these really cool, swirly paintings.

They have brought that back you know. I have seen it on the tc set.
I also remember being creative. When the water run jump slides came out we didnt have it. So we made our own. We took plastic consturction wrap and a hose .Plus some bricks for the sdes to keep some water in and filled it slightly.

We tended to destroy all our toys when I was a kid, so none of those are left. I still have brick I painted in 7th grade and my Christmas stocking; it emerges every year when I bring out the Yule decorations.

Oh, wow....here I go, look out! From the time I was teeny-tiny to my mid-teens, my toy of choice has been Legos. My brother and I each had our own Duplo Lego sets from the time we could walk. My sister and I used to build centipedes. Hers was red, and mine was yellow. I used to swipe my bro's bricks because I was missing a peice for 'something'. Don't remember the circumstances, but one day (after leaving my bricks out for the millionth time and never cleaning them up) I found my mom picking up my beloved Legos and throwing them out because I couldn't take care of them. I got more later, much to the annoyance of my sister. I didn't have many places to build, so the tiny, sharp bricks waited on the floor for someone to step on them, which they always did. I used to hear "OUCH!" late at night and hide under my covers. I ended up giving the bricks away! I still regret doing that. I've since gotten more and plan to find all my old set numbers and 'bring back' the good times.... Board games were also a big hit. Candyland was around until we lost two markers and the box got ripped. Checkers was fun, and so was chess until someone finally beat me by using a move I knew nothing about. Then came dominoes, Go Fish... We didn't get a computer until 1993; an ancient dinorsaur that was only good as a word processor. The only electronic/mechanical games I rember were Simon (Dad beat us every time) and that funny magnetic fishing game where the fishies moved in a circle and you had to 'fish' them out. (do they still have that?) Like any little girl, I did like playing with barbies, stuffed animals, dolls, and the like. My sister and I tried having tea parties, but our 'baby' brother would come along and spoil the fun by destroying the setup. My favorite things to do, though, didn't require anything you could get at the toy store. I made so many marble ramps out of paper towel tubes that I drove my poor mom batty! I unrolled more rolls of toilet paper for my 'creations' than my dog ever did! I loved playing outside. Our dad built us this simple wooden playset that lasted somewhere around eight years until all the hard abuse made it almost literally fall apart. Then there was the chin-up bar (which I never did master) and the favorite tire swing. It sure got hot in summer, but oh, the sheer joy of being spun around until your eyes crossed! Then I drove my mom crazy OUTside when I'd play in the laundry, make mud pies with my brother, or climb the strictly-forbidden trees. We've always had animals in the house, so they were included in the fun. Dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, mice, guinea pigs, birds...! You name it, we probably had it. The dogs, we raced or played tug-of-war with or gave belly rubs, my brother tormented our poor cats, and the smaller aniamls were fun to make ladders and forts for. And those were my favorite childhood pastimes! Sorry for the looong post, but hey, you asked!

I collected Breyer model horses as a kid and got back into it as an adult. They actually have model horse shows -- which kind of operate like a real horse show, only with models -- that I competed in fairly competitively until Nerf got sick. Then I had to sell my collection.
