Counting the quality fabric price and the time spent on my tunic, I don't think people on ebay charges that much...

Aaaaaaaaah, you may be dragged into learning to sew.< heh heh > And a Jedi outfit is about the easiest thing to start out with. That's what happened to me when I wanted a Starfleet uniform for my senior dress-up day way, way back in high school. Want any pointers?

I did my tunic myself, and I used "old" fabrics to do it. But I did look for fabrics, and the one that was closest to what I was trying to get did cost 12$ a meter... Also, you need to acquire the threads, pattern. You also need to MAKE it, time has a big part of the value in the handmade stuff you buy. At 75$, I don't think the tunic is overpriced... particularly if shipping is included.
Himiko: if you'd be to use it several times, There are "portable" sewing machines (made to stow away) for about 100$... yet you need fabrics, time, patience and talent... I use this as a learning experience. I am not a seamstress (seamsmaster for a guy??) Hell, I didn't touch a sewing machine since high school... but I did make my whole costume. Really, I prefer homemade to commercial ones. When trooping, people ask how its made, I can tell them! Also, its easier to adjust it afterward. (well I have a list of things I will adjust before halloween...)

The costume I have right now is all hand made.. I just don't have the time or patience for that stuff. I can try.. and I am waiting for a new belt for my costum... also I have decided to go trick or treating just for the heck of it this year!

How is the new tunic coming along? Did you decide to buy or make one?
