I tried looking for answers but I don't know if I looked over it or what. I received my tunics from a friend of mine. She didn't want them any more so she gave them to me. Fit great, no changing things around . But to close the inner tunic, there are two strands of fabric. One one each side, directly across from each other. So you tie it shut. I really don't like this. After I saw EM walking around with just his under on, I knew that's what I wanted mine to look like. But not sure exacly how. I was thinking about velcro. Take out a seam, stitch it on the inside so no one can see it. Then close it back up again. But for someone who has no idea how or where to even start, I am so nervous. Same with the outer. How do you keep it from opening up on you? Whew!! All that and I didn't even studder. (It's a joke. I always do

Well, for a Jedi that has some equipment up top, I use a safty pin. I pin the under tunic from INSIDE, so it isn't visible. Same for the Over.

I use the tie method as well as the velcro as well as the belt & sew on snaps as well as an occasional safety pin, all will work, depending on shape & ability. Velcro on my outers at waist w/ snap higher up on neckline for gapping, which is not a guy problem.

SO you gotta experiment to see which method or combination will work for what youu need AZ. I do suggest to NOT sew it on until it's where you want it and it looks the way you want. Or you'll be removing it several times.

I have two suggestions for you, the first is to sew ribbons on the tunic so that you dan tie it shut, like a Gi. The second one is to use velcro on the edges, I've used this method on my infiltration (i.e. Imperial Officer ) costume, and so far it works well, oh I used industrial velcro not the stuff you get in the sewing section.

Safety pins for me! ;D
I use about 5 safety pins in all when I wear my garb...but I keep the tabbards in place at the shoulder with velcro....

dude..... I am beginning to think that you are accident prone....
I have used safety pins for years....never have been wounded...are you sure you had them in the "locked and loaded" position?

Yes Master, I am positive. I looked before I went skipping around the house. I looked and double checked just for that reason. Ok, so there is a light side and a dark side. Is there a bad luck side? I AM the master of that. Oh, wait, that's not a good thing.

Hahahaha. That was pretty good. Yes, I am ok. Yes she jumped to. But she laughed harder than she jumped. She had tears rolling down her face. Shucks, it was funny but not that funny. Hopefully I can make some progress on that this weekend too. I am thinking velcro or snaps still. I will post something as soon as can swipe the camera from work. Their's is better than mine.
