My husband and I no longer really buy each other gifts. But I've been asking him to set up another external hard drive for me on the network because I'm filling my backup drive with all the digital photos. I could do it myself but he's particular about what, how and where. So I came home from work on the 24th and he'd gone to Fry's for a 300 gig, gigabit NAS (network-attached-storage) drive. Whoo-hoo. I told him, "put a bow on it and I'll consider it my Christmas gift" He laughed. I'm such a geek.

After being squeezed in an apartment with five other people for over a year, I got... -my own room -a backyard -to see my nephew -a Christmas call from my boyfriend and, of course, a Chewbacca mug at a Christmas party a few weeks ago. Now I can REALLY imitate GL! I mean I've alreayd got the blue jeans, plaid shirt, and yellow legal pad. I know, I'm a nerd.

I got a photo keychain I'm setting up momentarily. A cookie jar full of cookies for me from two dogs I walk everyday. One generous client gave me one of those film cell and mini-poster framed things of all six SW movies. A flannel sheet set. Mom bought me my presents early, so all I remember was the coat and some pictures. ;D A new phone and answering system 'cause this one died. Chocolate. (A necessity.) Some $$$ from clients. There are some more present coming when I see the rest of the family. Wow. I did good!

What did I get?
Mo' Money, Mo' Money, and Mo' Money! The things that I wanted were:
1. A new car stereo w/CD player because the factory installed one died. 2. Money for more RAM for my computer.
It was decided that it was better just give me the credits and let me choose the stereo and RAM myself.

Nothing Star wars related, though got hubby some S.W. novels and a comic. I got books (to add to the giant pile I don't get much time these days to read since I write all the time-LOL). Got a dresser that is coming tomorrow and this nice cabinet full of things for the bath and more. DVDs, esp. some Blu Rays as we now got us a 42-inch Full HD LCD flat panel HDTV and Blu Ray player. A dragon calendar. Clothes. A necklace. JMD

We didn't do a whole lot this year. My brother got me the book "Born Standing Up," which is Steve Martin's autobiographical account of his years doing standup, and I got Colin Powell's biography "Soldier." I also got (on behalf of my family) a membership to the Science Museum of Minnesota, which is awesome. Also, as a Christmas/college graduation present my dad is getting me a guitar. My wife and I bought a silk-screen kit for ourselves/each other, so now we'll be able to make t-shirts and stuff like that. All in all, a good Christmas.

I also had two quiet days with my parents, sister and brother-in-law. We don't go much into gifts, but my cats got me the McQuarrie Starkiller hero figure. They always seem to get me cool Star Wars gifts, but I haven't figured out how they get out of the house, get to the store, and pay for stuff. You don't suppose they're shoplifting, do you?
Nice score on the SMM membership, Cozmo. Think you might be spending some time there this year? Say, starting in June..... Go see Pompeii this week before it closes next weekend. It's awesome!

A lot of credits as it was my 21st birthday as well as Christmas - I went on a spending spree and bought:
A Star Wars comic Star Wars Vault (giant book with lots of goodies) Mini light up Darth Vader sabre keychain and a 2008 calendar
Unfortunately the shop was out of MR effects sabres so I still only have 1 half of Mauls!
