Friday I was at school in full Jedi gear for a project. At the same time there was an art show and something for the children of the county going on. When we all were finished and walking out a group of wide eyed kids gathered around a friend of mine (in Sith garb) and myself. While my friend left, I had a great time. I waived, answered questions and I'm pretty sure that there was at least one picture taken. The experience was heart-warming! ;D I now know how some of you guys and gals feel about some of the school and hospital visits I've read about. Costuming really is one of the coolest things ever!

It's great, sometimes at the costume shop, I'll wear one to work in, the young visitors love it, and so do alot of the older ones. The best was on the lines for Eps II & III, when the little kids would come by and just light up when I'd power up the FX blade.

Well I was at school again in the ole costume and pretty much the same thing happened with a bunch of High School sudents my own age staring in awe at me and breaking out the camera/phones. It's so funny to get a similar reaction out of EVERYONE. On a side not I plugged in a dowl-rod to my trusty side arm and let Uendo (a trained swordsman) try it out. We about gave the librarian a heart attack.

I was at the Colorado Renaissance Festival, Danine is working there are a "Sybil the Singing Strumpet", any way the boys and I were in costume. Grant and I were in Jedi, Griffin was a knight. We were waiting for the joust to begin and I was standing under a tree waiting in the shade. I turn around and there was a 5 year old and his very embarrassed Mom. He was tugging at my tabors. He asked if I would let him take picture with me. The Mom was apologizing for bothering me ... Well ... I got down on one knee and let him hold my lightsaber and the smile took up the whole picture. Next thing I knew there was a line of abort 20 kids and adults lining up for pictures ... The Fest Director was laughing at the site ... He said he had not seen such a site in the 30 years of the fest ... My boys helped by asking the names of the people and telling me as the were coming up to me ... I felt a little like Santa Clause ;D

How wonderful. Your boys were acting like proper squires, er, padawans! As always.

When we went to the ren fest here in Ocean Springs a while back Tailon kae , Iagon and I were walking around and we had a wonderful time with the kids. Nothing like that but we had alot of kids take pictures with us and people yelling out May the Force Be With You!

I've seen pics of you at Ren Faires Mon-Jas. I would have never thought about wearing Jedi tehre, but it works well obviously! Haven't been to a Ren Faire in ages!
