Yes.....I am getting ready! I purchased my Dragon Con badge....Whinter and I are driving....I am looking forward to a very "low pressure" chance to hang out!
I will probably be making a new tunic set too....my last dark brown one didn't come out as I would have liked...

I just hope the Hurricane Gods will smile on us on the Gulf this year. That will be the only thing to keep me away from Atlanta. I haven't decided whether to drive or fly, since I'll be coming by myself.

No kidding... The hurricanes need to stay away. Not to mention Im on myown till sometime in Augest when my hubby returns from deployment. So I am hoping nothing happens this year.
Anyone know how soon DC reps are suppose to return emails?

My new full pic in now in the profile...lol.. I have only lost 8 pounds so far so not much difference except the hair is a little longer. The more weight I lose, the longer my hair will get....lol

I confess to not needing to lose weight, though I have to watch every calorie to keep it that way; aaaah the joys of middle-age. I said something to Em about my thighs looking big in pictures last Nov and Em said no way. Well, my thighs and hips aren't too big, but my top is too small. There are only 2 inches difference between my waist and bust, but there are 13 inches difference between my waist and hips. So, I'm a pear, and my legs are short. I can honestly say that a Jedi costume is the ONLY thing for which I will wear light colored pants.

;D I have now lost a total of 15 pounds and I still haven't started excersising.....My hair has grown another inch......
My house is starting to come together. The carpets are out and I have picked out tiles. My yard has been all cleared and the new privacy fence is up. My new roof is ready to be installed and my new front door has been ordered and tomorrow I am picking up the paint for it. I have chosen a deep Cranberry. I have chosen colors for the interior and I'll be getting those tomorrow also. The Jacuzzi gets fixed next week...... ANI....You will not recognize my house. When I get it done you can come back for another visit......I will send pics too.... I am so excited about getting it all done. Oh, I also picked out my entertainment center and fireplace........ Whew, I guess that is all...lol... I have my money put aside for Dragon Con so I won't spend it for renovations......
So how are all the other collectibles.....

Well....after just shy of 40 years of working non stop....and under tremendous stress the last several years.... I finally got approved for a leave of absence from work for 6 weeks....starting Monday..... I have not been doing as good as you Em....I have been sick for 3 weeks and pretty listless...I am sleeping way too much lately...I seem to be either at work...or sleeping.... I hope that this 6 weeks will "heal" me.... I plan to look for a new job Tackle about a thousand jobs around the house Purge the house of a great many things... Work on my Stormtrooper armor.. Work on my prairie restoration project and... maybe lose some weight? I have lost some weight since I have been sick....but am still a weigh a wee bit more than I did at CIII.....at this age...I guess that ain't too bad....  The down side to the leave is that I will have no paycheck coming in...bummer....so spending money on going places is not an option.....I have signed up for a few costume events....and those will be my "bright spots".... |
