Well, we had discussed age before. Originally it was 50+, but now I think it is 30+. There aren't to many 50+ of us here and I think we would be missing out on a whole lot by restricting the age....so I figure if you can remember "when"....lol then you qualify...... so..... welcome aboard Whinter and Jedi Mom!

Sorry to hear that... I have been doing ok. Got back to work and everyone came in to say how much they missed me...lol... that is because the gal that works with me in the dept., doesn't do a good job..... I still feel a little depressed that it is all over and I wish I had taken more pictures, but I went to the CIII thread and looked at everyone elses and got a good "fix"....lol This morning we are having one doozy of a storm. Tremendeous thunder and lightening. I am going in to the Day Spa where Lindsay(daughter) works and keep her company for a little bit. She is there all alone. I doubt there will be many customers today with the storm. It is supposed to last all day......

Stress can make you old and kill you.... You have to put yourself first Schph. Work is always going to be there..... You need to do some things for yourself. I had to give this speech to my cousin, who is a teacher and everyone looks to her to help out, tutor their kids, and her church is the worst. They just assume that she will do everything so they volunteer her without even asking. Until I got very angry with her did she realize that no one cared how this was affecting her....they just wanted the job done. When she gets sick...do you see them bringing her chicken soup? NOOOOOO... they call her to see when she is going to finish their project. Her blood pressure had skyrocketed...She has since learned to listen to me and she has learned to say no....as you should.......now........don't make me have to get on a plane to Chicago.....

Come on out, Em!! We could all go out and make the stress go away. Of course, we'd also probably never get any sleep. Oh well.

Easier said than done....
I nearly fell asleep at the wheel on the way home from work yesterday...
...have gotten myself into more volunteer work that I don't need....a historic restoration of an 1800's garden at a site in my hometown....
I also sat up most of Sunday night and spent a whole wad of time Monday after work sewing like mad on some pieces for someone else's Quinlan Voss costume (Cheryl...you know who)...so I could get it shipped out yesterday....now my head is splitting....
sigh....
I have no one to blame but myself....

Well, Schph....you have to do this...you have to pick the ones that REALLLLLLY mean something to you and the ones you have the most fun at and the call all the others and tell them you have to take a sabatical for awhile. Actually I think you may need to do only one for now.... We want you alive and healthy for C4...please.... If you had a stroke or a heart attack tomorrow...how many of them would be over to help you out.... seriously...not just call and tell you to call them if you need anything...I have learned one thing and that is if they truly care they will not say..."Call me if you need anything". A true friend just shows up when you are in need and does for you......so please...I just finally got to meet you and I want to have you as a friend for the rest of our lives... That goes for you too, Whinter.... take care of yourself..... because when you least expect it, I'll be on that plane to O-Hare..... ok...group hug

Well, this old broad is very sad right now. I was told today by the local 501st, that I was not welcomed at a Sam's Club charity function on the 14th. They only want helmeted costumes. How can they think that the Jedi aren't important? It makes me sooooo mad. I have decided not to even try to go to the premier in costume because I will feel so uncomfortable with those guys. I have very strong feelings that it is a testosterone thing. They just do not want females there...especially ones old enough to be their mothers....... I think I am going to wait for the movie to come out to DVD to see it. I no longer have any fun feelings associated with the movie any more. There are only 5 of us here in Pensacola that costume StarWars...looks like they would want everyone to have fun.... I am indeed sad about this....

Well, I had to make my appearence here as Em2 so you all would know who I am until my account gets straightened out...... I posted a retraction in Random Thoughts but I also want to retract it here since I can't modify Emerita's posts...lol.... The whole charity function fopah was a miss communication...mainly on my part. The Sam's club fubction was the home office's call and the 501st didn't want to lose any further events by demanding that they let in the Jedi...so I apoligized....the Rave event was also a miss communication. The rave didn't want to step on the 501st toes by requesting Rebel costumes and the 501st thought they only wanted the bad guys and didn't want to step on their toes...so I called to get it straight and that was apparently the right thing to do because it is all straightened out now...... and I am a happy old broad..uh.....Jedi.... once again....
