Hey, Schph, PM me about getting to visit the kids hospital. We've had only a little luck in that area here, and I would love to do lots more!

I went to the Midwest R2 Builders gathering yesterday and just wanted to share some extraordinary "droids" that Master Builder Tom Joz had at his home.... His R2 is a honorary member of TJA: www.thejediassembly.com/members.php?id=r2bldIn the photos...my R2 is the one with the leg and foot "issues"...lol... I am doing some rebuilding...and hit some snags...and had to put R2's upgrades to the side...I plan to get back to him this winter... Anyway... enjoy the "show"... The R2's present... (note Gort standing in the background) Some of Tom's other "Droids" and neat stuff: His pride and joy: Johnny 5 - the most expensive robot ever replicated....lol...and ...yes...he does have a Wall-E ...but it was elsewhere yesterday... Great photos, Schph! I did the same double-header, except I was at a Lego Store. The groups in my area had 3 venues to cover yesterday... public.fotki.com/kait/star_wars/star-wars-marketing-day/Pottery Barn: No group shots at the Lego store but the "littlest Stormtrooper" was the cutest ever: Prior to the events, I had a quiet moment on the grounds of the Jedi Temple

Star Wars in concert was a great trooping experience! We arrived at about 1630 for a concert that started at 1930. Our role was to roam the exhibit area and entertain the paying customers. However, there were so many people, we couldn't really roam at all. So we planted ourselves in various areas of the exhibit. I wore the Jocasta Nu costume. I'd submitted it back in August, before I knew that character would be in the season premier episode of Clone Wars on TV. I've almost never had the costume recognized, but last night more people than ever before recognized it as the Jedi Librarian, or Archivist. Dozens of people wanted their photos taken with me and the other Jedi with whom I was "planted" . I had not planned to attend the concert. I didn't think I would care enough to buy a ticket. I just wanted to see the exhibit, made up of costumes and props from the Lucas Film archives. I was very underwhelmed with what was there and how it was displayed. The Jedi costumes weren't displayed correctly. Kit Fisto's tunic was not wrapped correctly in that the pins showed and I couldn't see the tabbards. At the last minute, the tour manager offered us comp. tickets, which I happily accepted. I was glad I did as the concert was very enjoyable. public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/star-wars-in-concert/

We have two of the Star Wars in Concert appearances coming up on Dec. 6th. I actually purchased a ticket as I don't want to miss it as we were also given no guarantees that we would see the actual performance. I don't know about costuming though...I don't have very recognizeable costumes...I have LOTS of costumes...just not ones that people get excited over...and I will NOT wear Stormtrooper...this was my mission report for a little something I did on Sunday...you can clearly see I am MUCH too short for Stormtrooper... In a departure from the norm... I actually wore my Stormtrooper Armor to this. It was a rather bizzarre day in Mokena (my home town) as we set up a last donation station for our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk coming up next Sunday.... in the end...we took in $120.00 for the MSABC team. We operated out of the parking lot at Berkots grocery store. We got a LOT of beeping and waving and some cars of kids stopped by for photos and to donate. We did have one man who saw an item in the local paper about our MSABC walk and came by to purchase an armband that I make for the team...and for those wishing to remember loved ones. We had an Imperial bucket and a Rebel bucket....the Rebels were winning...but Steve cheated and threw in extra money into the Empire bucket... but... all in good fun... and all for a good cause. At one point Crix and I walked down the block to the Firestation that was having an Open House and we got $20.00 off of the Mayor of Mokena...he gave $10.00 each to the Empire and the Rebellion...you can tell he is a politician..... At any rate... thanks to our Participants..the few... the proud... the downright crazy! Steve Szyndrowski- ID-3052 - Imperial Officer Thomas "Crix" Turner - X-Wing Pilot Phyllis Schulte - TK1951-Schph Gochi - Stormtrooper

I actually wore my Stormtrooper again last night for the "Death Troopers" book signing .... I didn't buy the book this time...I usually always do...but according to some of the people that I know that were there and read the book....it is pretty gory......which is just not my cup of tea. I am the short Stormtrooper on the left...

I figured that was Cheryl! She needs a bike now. Has anyone ever made one using a motorcycle?
