Hello everyone! I am very happy to report the some of us from the Jedi Assembly were invited to the 501st Placentia parade. With one of our Sith we did a small saber fight. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZUOEQXPUxkYes, I did fall and totally ate it. Never the less the kids loved it and a lot of fans remembers us form the Orange County Kids Faire Jedi Show we did a couple of weeks ago. I will report on that on another thread when we get up on You tube. Thanks Robeewankenobe

Traditionally, the last day of the MD Renaissance festival is the "anything goes" costuming day. They call it the Day of Wrong. I was reminded of the unofficial event by someone on the 501st Old Line Garrison forum. Since a handful of Imperial types were planning on attending, me and a couple buddies decided to crash the party. We had Myself as Rahm Kota and Rick Bouwhuis(Bouri-Plwel) as "Obi-Wan." We also had: "some sith lord" The Emperor General Grievous A Cylon Darth Maul Four Boba Fetts (not the 501st guy, different ones) Three Darth Vaders Two Darth Nihilus and a transgender Revan And all 17 of us drove down in our friend Neil Shivelle's Pathfinder! (Actually, those last 15 guys were names Neil's most excellent Darth Revan was called throughout the day : We had a camera but we forgot to take group pix. We did however catch the General falling off the wagon. Hard. It was all great fun though, and next year we'd like to get more Jedi for the DOW. With the flowing tunics and robes they seem to be quite a hit.

Koda? Off the wagon? lol... I looked like that by Sunday afternoon...but it wasn't from beer... ;D I too had a busy weekend....3 events in two days... at 8:00 AM Saturday morning...I was dressed in Stormtrooper with my R2 unit on behalf of the local library... Then I left for Lafayette IN for the Symphony...they performed John Williams music...they were GREAT....I got a chance to do a little "performance" with Darth Vader when "Duel of the Fates" was played....I was the only Jedi there...except Matt Hofmann as General Kenobi... Then Sunday morning....at 7:00 AM I was in Rebel Fleet Trooper (again with R2) for "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer"...our team raised over $3,000.00 and were the #4 team out of 86 teams in terms of $$ collected... My R2 was my navigator.... ;D

Koda: that's amusing.
Shcph: Wow! Three events in 2 days. We haven't had an event here in over a month (the last was the Pottery Barn thing). I love the R2 in the back of the Jeep. I wonder how many driver double takes you got.
