So how many versions of "aren't you a little short..." did you get? Our local Garrison has made tickets (like traffic tickets) and one of the ticket-able offenses is asking that question!

I didn't get it too much on Sunday... but at Wizard World...well let's just say I was ready to beat the next person who said to me "aren't you a little short....." I ticket-able offence.....I like that! I am going to have to make cards! Thanks for the idea Kai! |

It seems ok to have short Biker Scouts...
but everyone thinks they are being really amusing by quoteing Princess Leia's line to Luke when they spot a short Stormtrooper...
it is maddening!

Thanks Tanthos. We do that every once in a while... depending on requests. I think its my 3rd or 4th this year. This time, the kids "trained" in the art of the lightsaber with the Jedi. I like how the younglings selected the term "training" and not "fighting"....
Ky-Wan - yep, adding my daughter in the arms of a Jedi always makes cool pictures. Weird thing is that she seamed to really like the feel of Corja's outter robe, she kept on wanting to hug him. Was a lot of fun. I don't think you can see it in the pics, but her onzie has "Jedi in training pants" written on the front. :-D

Hehehe... Thanks Master Kai.
As I understand this was the gathering prior to us getting out; it was still a surprise for the kids. One cool thing the organisers did was to get a cape for every kids, I believe its LOTR capes from party places, so they all looked Jedi-ish.
The Dad of the B-Day guy reported later-on this week that the kids were very impressed and still talking about it. The little B-Day boy is "THE" kid on the street nowaday.
Its always great to see their smiling faces.

Had my vol. orientation today at Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) for the Star Wars From Science to Imagination exhibit. WE even got to SEE the exhibit....we could only stand just inside the door as it is a construction zone. Couldn't take any photos there but here are a couple: public.fotki.com/Kait/star_wars/star-wars-from-scie/Opening Weekend is going to be a blast. They are giving us a prime area to have our info table. We also just get to walk around the exhibit in costume for the visitors to enjoy! |
