Here are some pics from the Wild River Festival. Not a good turnout from the public, but lots of great costumes! I got autographs (for free!) from Vader, R2 & Fett...he even went out to dinner with us! I was in heaven...I got to battle Maul and then the two little kids in the pic with me knew who I was!!! They were standing with their parents and and asked their folks if they could 'take a picture with Siri'....I had not even told them that was my Jedi name!!! Thanks Xana & Schph...you and the little kids have made my day  !! Yup..that's Dee Culp! She made the trip up from southern WI for the festival. She's really nice...need to get her to make Jedi robes and join TJA!!! |

Yup..that's Dee Culp! She's really nice...need to get her to make Jedi robes and join TJA!!! I hear ya....I don't know why Dee doesn't have a Jedi costume...she has several Padme costumes...her "Padme Parade Gown" (from the last scene of Phantom Menace is AWESOME)....and she also has a handmaiden costume... I will have to start bugging her about making a Jedi costume...  Dee travels to my area quite a bit to participate....she is always smiling... |

Awesome! and any time you can wear your Jedi costume...it is a TJA Mission....and it is great that you have a "partner in crime" close by Bouri....it is always more fun to have another Jedi handy.
Also....great to get out with your local 501st and RL members....99% of all of my costuming is done with my Garrison...and even though I have armor and an Imperial Officer costume I wear the Jedi to a lot of the events.
We didn't have anything for the release of the DVD on Tuesday....but I am going in costume on Sunday to a local Suncoast video....better late than never I guess....
but since these DVDs are Original Trilogy...I will be wearing the Officer....I try to match the costume to the event....

Great pics both from DragonCon and the dvd release, we sadly didn't have an event here for that. I'm hoping to make Dragoncon in one of the upcoming years.

No DVD release here either. I think the DVD stores don't expect to sell all that much these ones. On another hand, my local group had been requested to participate in a kid's birthday party.
