Hey everyone! I'm new, referenced by Jaren Valnor, a good friend and my master atm. I'm currently working on a costume for Kyp Durron, one of my favorite Star Wars characters. my next step is the light blue tunic. Any tips on how to go about the tunic? Jaren and I have been brainstorming some ideas. Also if this costume needs approval, i can either PM the head or post more pictures directly to the forum. Thank you!

also about the lightsaber, it may appear red, but it's supposed to be a purple hue. It was originally Gantoris's duel-phased lightsaber, another student of Luke's in The New Jedi Order, but when Gantoris died and Kyp returned to the path of the light, the lightsaber was given to him by Luke

The tunic looks like a basic plain shirt with the same collar as Luke's RotJ and no sleeves. You could just make a pattern for it using a really big t-shirt... cut off the sleeves, cut it apart at the seams and modify the neckline/add a collar. The collar looks higher than an ordinary t-shirt would be so you'd have to add to it rather than just modify what's there. Then make it from a nice cotton fabric. Thats how i see it anyway. Oh, don't forget to add a seam allowance when cutting the fabric!

Yeah it basically is a big T-shirt haha. i'm thinking of buying material and having a seamstress i know custom make it, but if there are any logoless big t-shirts like this out there that i could modify, that would be easier i'm sure

I'm gonna start a list of seamstresses/costume websites for people looking to buy a costume. A lot of people cannot make their own or are unwilling to make their own. I know I get requests for names. I usually give them Nova's email. If you want to accept orders for making costumes, please feel free to add your own name/info

I live in the lehigh valley in Pennsylvania, and when I turn 18, I want to do some trooping, hopefully with Kyp, but I really want to get it done for C6!! So any seamstress-esque assistance I could get for the tunic would be great any suggestions in specific material? And what sort of prices for the services rendered

This is the home made tunic, and the jumpsuit, the belt is a sample belt, not intended to be the one used! I was thinking one of these for the belt, it is about 1.5 inches, it's at Target This is the brooch, which, is going to be hand crafted out of stainless steel by my friend. I drew this sketch for him to explain its size and function. BUT if any masters suggest some better option or route I should take in handling this brooch, I am gladly up for suggestions please I think that because of how unique the piece is, I'd love to replicate it, and the only way to do that is by metal (that I am available to)
