Hey Jauhzmynn,
thanks a bunch! That cool that you live near by...I never really meet to many fans that are from Florida!Well not big fans at least. When Attack of the Clones came out I kept tryin to win tickets to see it before it came out, I would hide in the bathroom at school for hours tryin to win, well I finally won and my friend and I went and we got all dressed up and out of like the 400 people there only 3 other people besides us dressed up!I was like these aren't real fans! But at least it got me on the news! Anyway the only point to that was to express how grateful I am to know that there are some true fans around here!

Well, I don't think it isn't because they are not real fans, it is because they don't know where to come to be with other fans, So they remain in the closet, so to speak. I thought I was all alone for 20+ years until I found this forum and the Rebel Legion and the 501st. I have met at least 15 others( and there are many more) that live here in Florida that costume and in the last 4 months, 3 that live in my town. Been here 4 years and didn't know they existed.
Knowing them makes it more fun and when we are out in costume alot of people want to know about us. Some of us have business cards made up with websites and phone numbers. Many of them tell us that they are in awe of us when they see the accuracy of our costumes and they ask us if we are professional. They are so shocked and very happy to see that we are just fans like they are and that they too can be a part of the fun........
As time goes on, you too will meet more and more of us out there. We are great in numbers and come from all over the world. The Fighting 501st, which are the "baddie dark side" lol... they have 1800 members (in costume) from around the world. We are great groups and we are glad that you have found us.......welcome aboard......

Ya I had a lot of people come up to me and say what a great costume and that they admired me for having the courage to walk out in public like that and not be ashamed!

ROTFLMAO!!!! Then those weren't the TRUE Star Wars fans....ignore them.....they probably only travel in reality, which can be very boring and shorten the lifespan........We are the healthy ones. We live in both worlds which rounds out our personalities......."live in their world...play in ours"

Yea I know those weren't the TRUE fans but oh well, we have all the fun! Well I must be off to school, I'm so excited we are doind paper mache in advanced art and I asked my teacher if I could do something Star Wars and she said sure. So I have decided to do a life-size replica of R2-D2 that will move and everything. If I have time I'm gonna do C3PO also.

I thought that "Live in their world .....play in ours made sense for us.... I don't know if that is infringement or not. I didn't really think about it when I said it...... |
