Today between shows we were watching "The Thing" I've noticed lately that all the aliens look like really ugly sea-creatures, and have multiple tntacles. Some good efx, but not an outstanding plot, everybody was really to stupid.

Which 'Thing' were you watching? The 1950's version? Or the John Carpenter version. Neither one of them captured the original short story, but the John Carpenter version came closer to it.Today between shows we were watching "The Thing" I've noticed lately that all the aliens look like really ugly sea-creatures, and have multiple tntacles. Some good efx, but not an outstanding plot, everybody was really to stupid.

I am upset. Someone stole my concrete goose. I know a lot of people don't like them, but this one was my mother's and she had cherished it. I was happy to have it. And now it's gone.
Also down the street there is a big sign on a tree telling some "Sl***" (their word not mine) that had stolen that person's cow yard sign to watch out cause the police were called. I guess its a rash on my street.
But it could be a LOT worse

Poo. Vandals don't think thee may be sentimental reasons we have what we have.
On another note, I let the dogs out and my baby Leia got out - the gate was open. So it makes me wonder if these vandals were looking for other stuff as well

I went with hubby last night to his 30 year class reunion. It was fun. Niether of us were planning on going but his high school friend flew in from CA for it and insisted we go lol... he was also the best man at our wedding and my son's godfather, so we couldn't refuse hehe. The after-party in someone's room went on til 5am!

So it makes me wonder if these vandals were looking for other stuff as well Probably. I hope you get your stuff back. I know how you feel. Sometime last year I lost the ring given to me by hubby's grandmother when we got engaged. It either fell off my finger or someone stole it from my jewelry box. I hate to think it was one of my son's friends. My bedroom is right next to his, and I do leave stuff out and about. Or one of my sisters kids could have took it from my jewel box when I was living at my dad's. It sickens me when I think of it. It was a very sentimental ring and was 300 years old.

Today I'm throwing out stuff. We got a dumpster in the yard, and I have to fill it by the end of this week. 7 cubic yards of stuff!
It really hard to do. I'm finding myself sifting through the same boxes again and again. I tend to want to donate/recycle/save for a rainy day, but I just have to learn to detach from the stuff and toss it!!!
Only when I dump all the boxes will I be able to rip up the carpets and floors, which have to go in the dumpster as well.
Must follow Jedi advice and not be attached to stuff!
