Fur coat and vest for a customer and 3 new tunics etc for me, and maybe a couple of loincloths for the Goth store, so much sewing, so little time.

Members of TJA are invited to the wake for my now dead 2005 Nissan Sentra 1.8S. The car needs repairs done to it that are more than the value of the car according to KBB.COM. I told my long-time mechanic that I will be looking for a newer car and what he is able to do with the old(er) car.
I've already gotten replies from local dealerships with Internet only specials. I'll have to grab a few hours' of time to go to dealerships to look at "certified" used Hondas to see what is being offered and go back to packing for C6. My Plane departs at 1:25 PM EST next Wednesday for Orlando, FL. I can'twait to escape reality for a few days.

Sorry that your car gave up the ghost. It doesn't sound like it was that old.
I must be crazy -- it'll be really close for me to finish this crazy Clone Wars costume that I can only wear for maybe a 1/2 at a time. Let's see if I actually get it done for CVI. My plane is supposed to arrive around noon on Wed.

Sorry to hear about your car Cal... I know the feeling.  Our newest car is '98 and luckily nothing huge has gone wrong. Biggest thing now is that I need a new muffler and maybe the exhaust pipe. I hope not the pipe! Taking it in to my mechanic on Thursday to charge the AC and change the oil (and have it checked over) in prep for my drive to Florida. We're still shopping for a nice used car for hubby so that my son can take the old toyota for college. Ani I can't wait to see what this new costume is! You always come up with good ones!! |

I hope my back tires make it to FL ok. Yesterday it rained and I was slipping on turns... no good. Treads are really worn. Fronts are new though.

Thursday I got a newer car. i got a 2010 Civic with 15K miles on it and lots of warrantee stuff for it. My Sentra had to be junked. I got all of $200.00 for it from the mechanic. The Honda dealership won't be able to give the car to me until after C6. The saleswoman said that she was still waiting for Honda of North America to send her the rest of the paperwork...which includes the title.

No car= can't go to work. I like the rental car that i got, but it drinks gas and it costs too much.

Well, finished and paid for the coat & vest, delivered the loincloths to the Goth store, have cut 23/4 tunics and will be sewing tonight and tomorrow night, still need to do laundry and pack, train on tues. afternoon. Sleep then.......:-)

I don't know how many loads of laundry I have done today. Still have one load in the washer, waiting for the load in the dryer to finish. My dryer isn't the greatest - it take 2-3 cycles to dry thoroughly
