Looks like a lively trip! Good news on the mileage, too. But hmmmmm, not a lot of pictures of Oregon on the way --- aaah, and that state fruit inspection station going into California. Can't have any bad fruit getting into CA. 
I am damp. Tropical Storm Debby has passed us by. The counties along the coast immediately east of us got 16 inches of rain and flooding, but we only had a few inches and blustery winds.

Just got back from driving to SoCal... 2500 mi round trip. Got the old classic (2002) Prius up to 49.5 mpg at one point! Had not been back for 7 years. The occasion was an historic SCA event in my former home area... public.fotki.com/kait/caitriona/gyldenholt-investiture/Was able to connect with several old friends. Unfortunately, a slight cold I caught on Thursday morning prevented my husband and me from seeing his aunt. We agreed with her daughter that Aunt D was too frail to be exposed. : ( Other photos are at the top level here: public.fotki.com/kait/kate/Very nice pictures! I'd love to drive the PCH sometime. It's great to be able to visit your old neighborhood and meet up with old friends!  |

I'm trying to re-connect with my SCA friends, too. Some of my friends kept in touch with my while I took a break, and I want to get back into the activities, again.

Yeah it basically stinks. I'm qualified for everything and nothing. These online personality surveys are starting to tick me off too. Then they say don't call the company, they will contact you if you are qualified... then you wait... and nothing.

As some of you have seen on the facebook page, my son Leland was given a box of Star Wars toy a few weeks ago. One his Favorite is a stuffed Yoda doll. He has to take him everywhere. This past weekend I took the kids to Legoland and of course, Yoda had to tag along. I didnt think much of it until we got to Star Wars Miniland and leland had to get Yodas picture with every statue he could find. Just wanted to touch base real fast. We just got power back on at 5:00 Saturday afternoon. Lost it after the storm yesterdat, they restored it about 12:30 a.m. but then the storm this morning took it out again from 6:00 til just now. We are okay. No real damage - limbs down, etc. but all is okay with us and the house. I was actually in St. Marys when the storm hit and Marky and I ran into Kroger's and they put us all in a big back room in the meat dept and gave us water and such. Such excitement! Hope the power stays on this time!
Hope you guys are all well and okay!
Now to go find food cause ours all went bad now... I'm sure all the stores here are going to be out as well

We got one clap of thunder, some hail, and at least a gentle rain alot of wind electric went out twice ,but came right back on.After working in 124 degree heat all day inside my plant |

Hot here and feeling better after gettin gout of the heat...we had some power surges during our storms and then the hail came and then the storms...we had some damage. mostly wind but every one here in my town isok...but we need a good rain not a hurricane!
