I think it looks pretty good! You may want to do something to break up the leather (or maybe you already have plans for it, I don't know) - thinking of 'traditional' hilts, they all have a smaller handle for the left hand and the right actually seems to grip somewhere around the mechanicals - buttons and such. Why, good question - my luck, I'd be shutting off my lightsaber in the middle of a battle by accident, lol.
What is the center pipe made from? I have a sink tube saber that I had crafted (we all make our own the first time, right?) I used leather as well around the handle, and then took some Oriental strips I confiscated from an old Samurai sword to wrap it. It broke up the solid leather well, and I eventually went the other way, with less leather showing now and more of the wrap. (If you've seen TFU, think about General Kota's saber - the wrap around the handle is leather strips, but same prinicpal.) I'll see if I can post some pics of it soon to give you a better idea.
As for the soundboard, I saw a set of Luxeons and soundboards being sold as a 'parts' set... I'd recommend checking there.

I did a quick search on eBay and found a 'Vader' saber pack combo of batteries & speaker. They'll have items pop up every now and then. I've got several 'alerts' that email me when certain keywords for items are posted. Maybe that'll help! Vader Speaker Parts

nice start. It looks like you are using speaker wire to wrap the upper grip area. You might have good results using a decent double-sided tape and then tightly winding the wire. That should give you a rather nice "coppery" look in that area.
